The Dr. Barnett injuries from being hit by that bus was also incredibly shocking but he didn't die so it doesn't qualify for this thread.
Dennis Gant played by Omar Epps. He died and they did a whole arc about Carter thinking Benton caused it because he was too hard on him while not understanding what it was like to be a young black doctor in a prestigious med school.I saw ER mentioned and I think this one is different than the couple I had in mind. And you'll have to excuse me if I'm wrong on some/all of the details.
One was a doctor who I think was working under Dr. Benton and was maybe hit by a train and they didn't realize it until they tried to call him and his beeper went off on the table in front of them. I was to say he was getting ridden hard by Benton and there was questions around if he jumped on purpose or tripped. I also don't remember if he lived or died.
Another from ER was when Carter got stabbed by a mentally unstable patient during a party I think and he falls on the ground and then you see Lucy on the ground who was also stabbed. Just a creepy scene in general.
Yeah I forgot about those. Those were hard too.I saw ER mentioned and I think this one is different than the couple I had in mind. And you'll have to excuse me if I'm wrong on some/all of the details.

Marshall's dad on HIMYM. Was just unexpected and hit hard about the harsh reality that things can happen in an instant.
I really have no idea what this is but it makes me sad just to watch the slide show.
I had a feeling something bad was coming with the "hidden" countdown of numbers during that episode.
Glenn in the Walking Dead. Mostly because I felt that the show never really recovered from the moment. So my sadness was more the loss of a great show than the loss of a great character (Glenn was fine)

This was a topic on an XM channel this morning.
Seemed like the most popular choice was Henry Blake's MASH death. (I'm not old enough to know the impact of that)
My choice may be Wallace getting killed in The Wire.
What's yours?
