Charlie from LOST been mentioned, but the final scene with Jack dying with the dog by his side so he wouldn’t die alone was a tearjerker

Not a main character but a powerful episode on death - Ben Sullivan on Scrubs:

100%. Dr. Cox at the end of the episode kills me every time. "Where do you think we are?"

I don't know about "sad"...but Adriana getting shot was a bit shocking in The Sopranos. The male characters were always coming and going but when she got killed it was a different feeling and kind of sad because once she realized what was going on it was tough stuff.
Drea de Matteo just nailed that scene

So many spoilers in this thread, I don't care if it happened 20+ years ago. I may get to it! :jimlad:

Not a character death, but Malory Archer's retirement following Jessica Walter's real life passing was pretty gut wrenching. Especially as a big fan of her in other stuff as well.

Her real life husband, who voiced Ron on the show, also passed away just a little over a year before she did. Made that final scene even more poignant.

After seeing some Sons of Anarchy posts, there were a lot of sad deaths on that show.
IDK. Maybe early on but by the end I was happy to see these irredeemable characters eat it. Especially Jax at the end.

I recall Dr. Green but it was so damn long ago. Most the shows mentioned I never watched.
Was BS that they killed off Keen in Blacklist.
Patrick Dempsey in Greys perhaps.
