After seeing some Sons of Anarchy posts, there were a lot of sad deaths on that show.
But there's really only two.

Grace Shelby, Wallace, Andrea, Opie, Tara, Dan Conner (at the time), Lady, Bob Newby, Shireen. There's a lot out there.

Lot of Dexter fans here...I thought the revival series was better than it had any right to be. Probably fourth or fifth best season of the show.

The kid on the bike in Breaking Bad that Todd shot.
Yeah, this one really got me the 2nd time I watched the series. It was certainly sad the first time, but I had become a Dad shortly before rewatching the series a second time. I bawled my eyes out during this episode. Just horrifically terrifying for the kid himself, but taking the viewpoint of his parents who would never know what happened to their young son...just having to live wondering forever...it was too much.

Both Boardwalk Empire and The Wire have been mentioned. I'm super impressed by the actor who played Chalky White in Empire and Omar in The Wire. That said, I realize I'm late to that party. RIP Michael K Williams.
I had no idea he was dead until I saw this, He was also in a couple of other shows that I found entertaining, One was Hap and Leonard, where he played an angry gay man. The other was Lovecraft County.

In the last episode of The Wonder Years, the narrator says that Kevin’s dad dies during his freshman year of college. For some reason, that one hit me pretty hard but I think it was just the last episode of my favorite childhood show that did it.

I thought that was more shocking than sad. I was actually kind of glad she died so we could move away from her plot. Although I thought she was good and nice on the eyes.

Like everyone else said. Mash. That was shocking and sad and they did it so well. Lots of people cried on that one
