1-2 times a week here. Usually have about 15-25 drinks per day when drinking. Mostly on a Saturday/Sunday. Sometimes I’ll go weeks at a time without drinking though.. so it all evens out in the end.

I am not judging at all but 25 drinks a day...Drinks or beers? I'm trying to think of the most I've ever had in my life even tailgating and college days and I can't think I was ever 10+. #lightweight

I hold a drink and take a sip or two maybe 4-5 times a year, holidays and special occasions. I used to have maybe a glass of wine or a craft beer once every week or two, but I am having a hard time keeping weight on as I age. Doesn’t take much for me to feel intoxicated.

Everyone has their own tolerance level and ways alcohol affects them. I know people that 2 drinks in and they are hammered and some that will down a 12 pack and doesn't even seem to affect them at all. I have a friend that said he had a coworker that would drink a whole bottle of vodka and an 18 pack in one setting and he'd be fully functional the next day but he also was over 300 lbs and wound up having a gastro procedure.

A couple drinks a few nights a week is not unhealthy. When your drinking impacts your personal or work life is when you need to evaluate your habits. At home I usually wait until after we put the kids to bed before I have a drink but I will drink in front of them if we go out to eat or on a weekend if we grill out or do something. There is no 1 size fits all answer to this question. The best answer is if you think it is having a negative impact in some way then you probably need to evaluate if you need to cut back or change your habit.

Ha. Really all depends. But I’d probably say beers if I was going to hit 25. 15 for mixed drinks. That’s way I worded it as “day” (you called that out too when responding and just didn’t think it was at night). Maybe average 2 beers an hour over 10 hours and I have 20. Mix in food/waters… and it just happens. Also I’m drinking Busch Light so it’s not filling/super heavy.

1-2 drinks a night. Thought that was normal until reading this thread lol.
Maybe not normal, but I'm the same. Most nights I'll drink a beer or two. Then hit it a little harder one of the two weekend nights.

Covid plus all the other stuff from 2020 was brutal on my drinking habit. Pretty much 3 drinks every night minimum, with 5 once or twice a week. That habit stuck around for 2021 and now guess who is 30 lbs overweight?

Have dialed that back to 1 per night, which is usually a glass of wine with supper. I don't have any a couple of nights a week, whereas weekends are still a work in progress.

Have been working out and counting calories, and that is a huge motivator to avoid drinking. Alcohol just ends up as useless calories, and a missed opportunity to work off some of that weight.

Unless there is a massive size difference tolerance is mostly from people drinking regularly, sometimes drinking very heavily regularly. Those people that down a 12 pack (within a short amount of time) and are fine drink heavily on the regular. A lot of people are high functioning alcoholics. More then once we have had people come into the ED with insanely high BAC, I’m talking levels that would kill some, and act perfectly fine.

I will have a drink on Thursday and Friday nights. Usually Saturday and occasionally Sunday.

Most times just 1 and never more than 2. Probably average 5 drinks per week
