I used to think he was somewhat of a classy, respectable young man even after he bailed. After these comments, not anymore.... He deserves any raucous chants from Hilton next year.

I know it'll never happen but I'd prefer if the Hilton crowd is just silent for T.Hunter during his vist(s). Nothing is gained by me as a fan for booing him. Plus, then he doesn't have any "hate" to fuel him. He'll just see that no one at ISU cares about him one way or the other now that he left.
If I’m at that game, I will boo the **** out of him.

I still feel somewhat bad for him…for the deal with his parents. There does seem to be an integrity issue though. Going to another school in the same conference. Seemingly making it about getting the most money you could get and then claiming it wasn’t about the money…

But again, no parents and only 19 (or whatever he is)…maybe it’s best to just ignore him. It is admittedly hard to ignore someone who keeps talking though…

Agree. It’s also very big right now to keep NIL amounts and usage very quiet for a lot of reasons. First is you don’t want to get into public bidding wars. Second is you don’t want teammates hating each other. Third is you don’t want recruits knowing how much they can keep pushing upwards for.

This is a good example where we’re going to struggle though. When another team is willing to pay literally 20x what we can, that’s going to be hard to retain developed talent. That’s where culture is going to be critical. You could say it’s 5 star culture vs high 6 digit figures.
The NIL system should be a transparent one. I see no reason why these payment amounts should be concealed from the public.

It’s structured in a way that I don’t think that will happen without further structural changes. Because it’s supposed to be like endorsement money, it’s a commitment from a private entity to a private person. You have to remember too that collectives which are more transparent will never be the big funders of NIL for the explicit purpose that it creates transparency. Entities would always prefer to do things without the sunlight.

If our top players start getting poached every year and then say “it had nothing to do with money” knowing it can’t be proven that it did… I will definitely check out. I didn’t have a problem doing that Prohm’s last season. I have plenty of other things to do with my time.

The point stands that he's not leaving because of some far fetched vision of every other team scoring like crazy.

On the season:

Texas: 68.8.
ISU: 65.6.

Conference:
Texas: 67.2
ISU: 63.4

Sucks when facts ruin your narrative LOL, much like Hunter's narrative in this story .. good investigative journalism on the actual facts

Here's what Tyrese had to say about his decision today in Kansas City.

I call bs. It should be a little more amped for that game I’d guess

Pretty sure he's saying he couldn't handle being the only PG on the team and it was too much for him. He should have just said it was about the money. I'm cool with that. This excuse is pretty sad really.
Exactly, wouldn’t you want to be the only pg getting tons of minutes with the ball constantly in your hands? This is all money

I have no ill will towards the kid. He can choose to do what he wants with his life. Iowa State has benefited from its fair share of transfers.

Did a check in on our former star PG. His stat lines have been not so good since Beard got arrested

Shooting stats aren't listed but I did the math for you. Over the last 5 games hes shot 9-40 from the field(22%), and 4-19 from 3(17%)

His PPG and APG numbers are also down from last year, with the APG almost 2 assists per game

Our boy The Walking Bucket might want to figure out where they're located before calling himself that

Law of average is catching up to him. He started super hot but now it is really close to last year’s numbers shooting wise.
