yeah, the shirt idea seems to be the best, and I also think a lot of it comes down to marketing and promotion. It seems like every other school in the nation has it figured out but us. I don't buy the whole, fans don't care excuse. I remember going to gold out games like 10+ years ago and those seem to be successful. Of course, back them you had paper tickets that said "color it gold or color it cardinal"

do schools like Tennessee hand out shirts since they seem to knock it out of the park always.

Helps that some of the fan bases are more like cults, not that much different from the fans and characters in the Dr. Pepper Fansville commercials.

I was guilty of not being in attendance yesterday (2 in upper deck). Making it to most basketball games has been difficult for me living 2 hours away. Interestingly, its been tough to even give tickets away these days. The demand still hasn't rebounded from the Prohm years and pandemic.

Somebody axed Hilton magic and it’s still recovering. We will not mention this person because they are a nice guy and didn’t mean to have the worst season record in Cyclone history.
Nah, that excuse is over. We’ve still been a tournament team 7 of the last 10 years and are coming off of a sweet sixteen season while the current team is ranked in the top 25. Student turnout has been pathetic for several years now. I get it’s better than a lot of schools, but it’s still pretty disappointing.

I was there, and I was wearing gold as instructed even though my boomer ass thinks stripe outs are lame. Besides that, while there were not the 13,900 announced, it looked more than 60% full to me. I had a great time. Love me some FUN and WON, and had a Clone Cone to boot!

Barely 20 tickets offered in the lower level for a game 6 days from now. Better be INSANE attendance.

I've looked at going to games many times this year. You either get a $25 seat in the nosebleeds or you to pay face or more for a lower-level seat..

I'd love to attend games, especially if there is abundant tickets. But I'm not paying a premium or face for McNeese State.

I wonder how many of these tickets are companies and not individuals... No accountability of attendance if it's not a warm body entity

White? lol yeah that's not happening. TV cant see the crowd anymore, which is fine by me so no reason to be a lemming at a basketball game.

There were some real clunkers last year at home during conference play. Scoring 44 and 36 points at home carried over the feeling from those previous seasons. I am not zapping TJ for that since fielding a team was a remarkable achievement and a Sweet 16 was stupendous.

However, Hilton has thrived with an exciting offensive attack. TJ is doing his best with what pieces he has until he can bring in some more firepower. Defeating Kansas at Hilton this year will also go a long way to restoring Hilton's presence.

What would you suggest towards improving student turn out?

I don’t have a solution for that. Probably make them claim their tickets and sell the rest to the general public as general admission seating. That way it at least would be full most games.

Only give the lower sections to the students. Make the upper end section general public until the student demand comes back. Make 'em earn it back.

Of course every Tennessee fan has either their prison oranges or hunting vests
