Roads weren’t bad at all this morning. Would have been worse with more snow. Also think a lot of this snow has been packed down from the wind.

My dog has been out twice so far. Rolled in the snow by the bird feeder, guessing a deer peed there or something when eating seed off the ground. One of the boys is wrestling with him to distract him from wanting to go out again.

Supposed to drive from Des Moines to Mason City this afternoon. Iowa 511 has the interstate as partially covered and haven't seen any major issues on I35 going north. Plan to caravan with another car and go slow. HWY 65 looks a little worse according to 511, but I think that is a little more protected from the wind.

Iowa 511 updated and I35 and HWY 65 are now travel not advised north of Story City UGH.

Anyone traveled I-35 between Ankeny/DSM or I-30 between Ames/Boone?

Elliot got me, burst water supply line in my garage ceiling that feeds my upstairs washer and laundry room sink. Never has froze before and I even added insulation in the garage ceiling about 5 years ago. At least the plumber will get to work in a garage and not outside.
