"We turned it over on downs inside the 5 yd line because we ran a stupid trick play..... then we got stopped again, this time on the 6 inch line because we fumbled.... plus we threw 2 pick 6's.... went for two once and didn't make it..... and did I mention we gave up 51 points? But we got screwed... otherwise we would have won!!" - says Michigan fans

I personally don't care about money that's not my responsibility to worry about, the only thing I care about is ISU doing good. And it's my opinion that conference opponents winning championships makes that harder for ISU.
Then Iowa state needs to get better then. After all the BS about our conference perceived by the media I’m glad TCU won. It makes the conference better all around.

If the refs are going to let OSU hold all night like they did on that touchdown play, Georgia might only win by 20

Lol, many of the hoks on HR dislike me more for being critical of KF/BF/GB/Iowa than the Twins minions like JP and BC on here.

Hmmm I wil l need to read more closely. I might be able to narrow you down to about 5 posters.

I was at that 1993 Georgia 21 Ohio State 14 Citrus Bowl they just mentioned and showed highlights about. That was a GREAT NYD. Alabama beat Miami (Fla.) that night in the Sugar to win the National Championship. Good memory!

There is serious money involved, which gets split among the members.

Except there's not really any extra money from the CFP for making the championship game.

From the CFP, the Big 12 will get (approximately):
*$74M for basically just being a P5 conference
*$3M for all teams meeting APR guidelines
*$6M for TCU making the semis
*$4M for KSU making an NY6 bowl
*$5.5M to cover expenses for TCU's semi and finals appearance

Directly from the CFP manual:
"There will be no additional distribution to conferences whose teams qualify for the national championship game."
