Like they did against Richmond last year?

They were a dark horse Final Four team by Seth and a hot pick coming off of their B1G tourney win.

They've been bad lately and I can see them coming out and putting together some crazy shooting day and playing defense for the 2nd time all season.

Check out Chris Jans’ history at Bowling Green.

Originally from Iowa. Coached at New Mexico State and one of his long time assistants is the coach that got fired this year b/c of the hazing incident (which caused them to cancel their season). New Mexico State also had a murder scandal this year like Alabama did.

ESPN's "summary" under Iowa has them as "one of the hottest teams in the country"... lol.

I just think we've had a lot of naïve folks around here lately. End of the day, the committee members are humans using judgement to figure this all out. Doesn't matter what's on the "team sheet' or not, or what the stated metrics and criteria are.

They didn't like the big 12 as much as the metrics did. I tired to suggest the big 12 is "overrated", while still being the best conference and people told me I was a moron.

Anyway, seed doesn't matter, you have to play great teams regardless.

Go cyclones

I mostly agree with this. I think we've been told that the committee only looks at the computer and the metrics when seeding teams. But I don't think they do. Take Iowa State for example.....we've looked like a 6 seed this year.

I think the committee ended up putting a bigger emphasis on losses. We had a ton of great wins. But also several not great losses.

They can talk all they want about only looking at metrics, but in the end they look at how the teams actually perform.

Yea, the committee chair said KU's big losses (e.g. >10 pts) were what dropped them behind Houston.

I can see Iowa beating Houston for some stupid reason.
Anything can happen, but they tend to have problems with lengthy, athletic teams. Houston has both at every position.

Remember what Oregon did to them in the Tourney? And that was with Garza.

Pittsburgh or Mississippi State? I feel more comfortable with Pittsburgh for various reasons. If we get by, I like our chances with Xavier.
