I'm not sure Nevills is in the "need" category, he has only wrestled like 10 matches in the past three years, and the results aren't very impressive

No confusion Seth was the highest rated out of HS of all 4 brothers. He was an undefeated 4X California State Champ, Fargo National Champ & top 10 recruit. His true freshman year he went 13-3 before getting hurt at the BIG 10 tournament and needing to MFF. Has beaten All Americans and National Quailers such as Tate Orndorff, Luffman, Strexk, Houghton, etc, while being DKs backup the pass 3 years.
Although I have high hopes For Schon in the future I doubt he’s even a Nat qualifier next year. There’s a reason Dresser has a commitment from one of the top 2024 HWT recruits.

At first I thought the same thing. But with that attitude you won’t change anything. Before Iowa got the brands they were getting 5th or 4th. If the coaches can’t get in the top ten this year we need to have some serious changes.

I disagree.

One tournament doesn't change that fact that it was a fun year and a good year. We had 7 in the top 16 and 5 in the top 12, we aren't very far off from competing for trophies.

we don't have the money of PSU or Iowa but are competitive or better off than anyone else in college wrestling with the CRTC.

Thanks for adding some well deserved context to this conversation. Much appreciated!! Not saying he is in the cards but definitely 1 of the top 2 heavyweight AA candidates in the portal as of today. Getting a 2024 commitment was more to do with no depth and some questions about Schon off the mat not Schons ability on the mat.

Like one of 5 different injuries don’t happen or we win one multiple matches (think but not exclusive to the blood round) and we jump multiple teams are easily in the top ten. You seriously don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. Stick to basketball, the cave, or wherever the hell else you came from.

Actually with just a finals win from Carr ISU would have finished 9th. Swiderski and Sammy both could have won their R12 matches as well. Very close to being near that top 5-7. With that being said Iowa State has 8 National Titles, 70 Nat Champs, & like 5(?) Olympic Champions. I’d like to think we can still pull in a top transfer or 2.
