You'd think OU would be a plum job for someone and there would be a lot of interest.

Not sure about that. With the move to the SEC, and OU’s inflated sense of themselves, I wouldn’t be surprised to see wrestling pushed way off to the side/bottom of the pile while they try to compete on the football field.

I know Missouri has been successful as an overall SEC school, but they didn’t and don’t have anywhere near the football expectations.

They did it to themselves. They don’t give a **** about the wrestling program or top coaches and assistants would be knocking down the door to get in.

Equally as good in freestyle. Ask Bastida how it was wrestling a greco guy that he lost to this season. Schultz is a greco guy also. You can be good at greco and also have success in folkstyle and freestyle. Paulsons were also excellent at greco and from that region of the states.
Heavyweights and guys from 25 years ago. He’ll never AA.

Wow bold take. I’ll take the bet. I think he gets on the podium 3 times. So I’ll bet he AA’s. How do I save this? I’m slow at times
If he only AAs once that’s closer to zero than 3, so we’ll see who’s opinion is right. Where is he going, honestly can’t remember.

Other than 285, I am cautious on strictly Greco guys. Especially if they try and focus on it in college. I am sure there will be exceptions. Adams has been impressive

Agreed but Adams isn’t a “greco guy” because he’s equally as good at freestyle and folkstyle. Crabs is forgetting that part with his hatred of greco. Gaitan also very good at greco, and we hope he’s a 2 or 3x AA for us

He beat the defending Olympian in freestyle and won a world title in freestyle?

Here is the thing. Adams just beat the Olympian. He has a legit shot to make the Olympic team next year. Seems to me he’s be crazy not to olympic redshirt.

He spends a year at that level solely focused on Greco, his folk game will never recover.
