I have a source that works close with the coaching staff and he told me that PR will be interviewing a 64 year old for the DC job this week. Supposidly this guy has been a DC for a long time and has coached at all levels.

Just thought i would pass along.

I thought they were interview a young 19 year old who has Iowa ties, and deep rooted passion for Iowa State. Supposively he lives in Larch Hall. :jimlad:

That's what my voicemail said when JP called me.

I honestly think this would be a good move, the staff is very young and somebody that's been around the block a few times might be good for the staff, kinda like grampa Norm over at Iowa.

Right after PR was hired, there was a guy that just became available that was in his 60s. He coached at ISU and Iowa back in the day and I think he was just with the Bucs in the NFL.

Everyone wrote him off because of his age. Maybe it is him??

Would Pendergast (ex-cards dc) think about coming back to college? He had stops at USC and a couple of others. I liked what he did in AZ, even if Wisenhunt (sp?) didn't.

Larry Coyer is 65 and was recently named the new DC for the Colts so forget about him. Actually good news as he is not a good fit at the college level.
