If I had a beer for every Twins base runner left on tonight, I'd be drunk by now.
Agreed. This team does not have major league hitters on it. I think I heard Correa is 1-16 in the last 4-5 games. He's been a huge disappointment.

And Correa's hitting with RISP is downright depressing.

Maybe even more pathetic is the combo of Gallo, Buxton and Kepler, all of whom DH or play the lowest value defensive positions are combining to hit under .200.

Funny how that works when a player gets that huge contract. Gallo I could have lived with, because he was a reclamation project and knew he would strike out a lot. But Buxton is trying to hit 420 foot bombs every at bat and Kepler, everyone outside the FO knows he's worthless. Might as well have Miranda and Gordon playing every day because the output would be the same at a much cheaper price.

The braves are legit and could win it all but the only feeling I have from this series is that This team might be screwed.

Welp, the Twins scored a whopping 3 runs in a 3 game series against the Braves. They also went 0-23 with runners in scoring position. That was truly pathetic. I know the Braves are the best team in the National league, but they are NOT undefeated.

Agree they might as well bring back Miranda, but not sure about Gordon when he gets off the IL.
Just hope they can package Kepler and Pagone for some minor leaguer with potential.

So, Twins fans, what do you do this year?

1. Buy (maybe Goldschmidt for Wallner and Festa (plus a bit more), trade for another RP)
2. half ass it (get rid of Kepler and Gallo, put Larnach and Wallner at the OF corners for the rest of the year)
3. Firesale (get rid of Kepler, Gallo, trade Gray, Maeda, Polanco).

Why would they buy when they don't have the offense to compete in the playoffs in any capacity? One or two players won't do it. they need the ones they have to get their heads out of their butts.

They aren’t just bad offensively, they are also bad in the way that’s completely hopeless in the playoffs. Their garbage approach at the plate never works in the playoffs.

It’s weird, almost like hiring a guy that’s never coached above A ball as a hitting coach was a bad idea.

Max is back y’all. Never doubted him for a second.
Was at the game yesterday, and thought to myself "wait, do we like Max again?". Clutch 2 out homer and 2 out single for 4 RBIs. Buxton had 4 very hard hit balls as well. Bats are starting to come alive (albeit against a terrible Royals pitching staff)
