Kirilloff, Lewis, Lee, and Ober are the young studs of the future.
Young guys the Twins could move (my order, not based on trade value):
Martin
Celestino
Miranda
Julien
Richardson
Larnach
Wallner
Oh, I like it.
Yeah, it'd take something absolutely crazy to pry away any of those 4 you mention. Like I'd maybe be okay trading 2 of them for Ohtani, but that might be about it.
I think I'd have a slightly different order. Note, this would be the order I'd trade them as part of the same trade. Obviously Celestino isn't going to give you as much as Wallner would.
Celestino - I think he has a low ceiling and I think the Twins have current/future options in CF. Buxton (if he's ever healthy), Taylor (if the resigned him), Lewis, Lee, Martin, Rodriguez. Heck, DaShawn Keirsey might be a better option than Celestino today.
Martin - May end up being a complete bust, but has a good shot at being as good as Celestino and an outside shot to regain his top-prospect status.
Larnach - I just think the Twins have plenty of corner OF options and Larnach might not figure it out. I also think it might be early enough
Miranda - Twins have options at third. Still hope he bounces back, though.
Richardson - Hard choice between him and Julien. I don't know what is wrong with him this year. Hopefully he figures it out. Hate to give up a potential SP, but I think Julien's plate discipline gives him a high floor in the majors.
Julien - High floor, will play in the majors a long time. Chance to be a really good player.
Wallner - I think Julien is more likely to be a star player than Wallner. Much higher chance that Wallner is a bust. But, Wallner has a small chance to be a much bigger star.
