Forecasted high for next Wednesday in Ankeny is 110. But humidity will only be 20%, so it'll be a dry heat. :)

After being the the low to mid 100s for the last few weeks, it was in the low to mid 90s yesterday and today. Felt like fall.

Back to low to mid 100s tomorrow for another week or longer.

Oh yeah and no rain.

Ames
It is green now in CR after being brown and not growing for a couple of months.
I live in West Ames and the grass had been dormant for weeks - I only mowed twice from July 1 to this past Sunday. Drive to the North side of town and they've been mowing most of the summer. The rain has been ridiculously spotty. Multiple times in July where the airport recorded half an inch and I didn't even have a tenth at my place. Had 3.3 inches since 8/6 and now things are coming back to life.

Just moved my youngest into Geoffrey on Monday. With the heat coming told her she has no idea how lucky she is they have air.

The newer dorms on the Southside of Lincoln way? Are they pretty nice? Are they like older style dorms or more like mini apartments?

Yes. And they are very nice. The size of the rooms are not much different than the older style, still dorms......but with 4 elevators, clean carpet and hallways that give you the feeling of a hotel it's definitely a step up. And yeah......AC. Not the here's a window when it's hot and a radiator to burn you in the winter.

Was at Home Depot getting more yard bags for my post storm cleanup, burned through the ten bags I had on hand, and saw big tents set up in the parking lot and was curious as to what was up. It was insurance companies and repair dudes that had set up drive throughs for assessing car hail damage. The Hulk Go Smash storm killed my roof but at least my cars were indoors.
