Nothing at Marshalltown Hy-Vee last night.
Is the vodka out yet? I couldn't find that either.
Yes, all of them except the Cyclone Hazy are currently out at various places. I got the three beers yesterday from the Grimes Hy-Vee, and got the Vodka at the Urbandale Hy-Vee on Tuesday. Iowa Distilling has a search feature on their site that will tell you which stores have it in stock.
I was at Wall to Wall out by Jordan Creek Wednesday, they didn't have Ames Lager. They did have an empty spot on the shelf which I assume was for that.
I suspect they were waiting until "official release day" to put it out. I had forgotten that today was the official day.
Also for our Cedar Falls friends, I confirmed that, for whatever reason, we are in a distribution black hole for WestO. Unless WestO self-distributes or signs an agreement with a distributor that can get it here, we gonna have to travel to get WestO for now.

Hawktoberfest isn't officially licensed, hence why their cans are the same as prior years. CloneFest cans updated this year because it's the first time it's been officially licensed/could use the actual logos.
Yeah, I've been fighting that battle an hour + to the NE of you. We do get Smoked Red in town now.
I think it needs to be pointed out that CloneFest's donation to the AD is likely the result of a settlement over copyright.
Because "Hawks" are such a common mascot, it's unlikely that the Iowa AD had much of an ability to force a cut of the sales the way ISU would with anything "Cyclone" related.

I would agree with this. I'll add that I think there are gonna be a lot of disappointed Busch Light drinkers if they're expecting a beer with no taste. A couple others have mentioned, think more Yeungling/PBR with more flavor - I thought it was very solid and am happy it's not just a bland alcoholic water (coming from someone who crushes plenty of Busch Lights myself).
