How many schools like Iowa state have won a national championship in the last 20-30 years?

Usually when someone answer's a question with a question it means they are full of s***.

I'll give you the B of D and try one more time about this is a good as it gets.....

By "this" do you mean today's game........last season, or 2017-2020? Because there was no NIL then, and the "playing field" certainly wasn't level. Yet.................................?

The bar isn't national championship. That's a false equivalency. How many schools like isu have won 6-8 games consistently, and every 5 or so years sniffed a bcs game or conference championship? The answer is many more.

Vegas had us as a 2 point favorite because they're on to how bad we are.

That vegas has us there is as much of a problem as anything.
The bookmakers set the point spread to equalize the bets across the two teams. Thus, the spread is set by the consensus of the people betting on the game not some all-knowing bookie.

The fan looks like he’s mentally challenged for Christ sakes!! C’mon CMC?! Acting like you got sand in your vag.. You’d get roasted in SEC land for being so sensitive. SMH. It seemed more of an act in front of his players more than anything else. Didn’t want to get punked out maybe.

He isn't mentally challenged. Talked to him tailgating today in the ISU section.

2017-2021. There was nil is was just illegal. Now it’s easier than ever for rich/ successful schools to do this. Until the ncaa does something like they never have.

Do you all realize this is a terrible look for ISU that our best coach and hottest candidate we’ve had in years, stays loyal to isu and says here. Then it bites him in the ass and no one wants him. Not a good look for isu more than anything else
A look that is the creation of Coach Matt Campbell.

These problems started becoming obvious in the Notre Dame bowl game in 2019.

Talent masked them in 2020, and somewhat in 2021.

2022? It was obvious teams had figured us out.

CMC had no response, and here we are.

ISU will look fine

If some Slappy is yelling at my players you are done straight I’m going to not just scurry back. I’m going towards him. If you think that fans behavior is fine, then I don’t know what to tell you.
The behavior is understandable even if you don't like it. He's frustrated. Never hears any accountability about their play. You can't call into his show anymore to ask him anything...His post games are coach speak sugar coated BS. How do you suggest one is to express their frustrations to him unless you catch him running by you

Dude drove almost 11 hours for whatever reason, was probably wasted, and had to witness that ****show.

Guy is total douche for sure but it's not surprising at all with frustrations boiling over.

He was probably impaired. No excuse for the fan’s actions, but if you’re Matt Campbell you have to let that water roll off his back like a duck would.

Perhaps he knows that seat might be warm??

Slight disagreement...the problems became obvious a game earlier...during the Thanksgiving weekend game against KSU/Klieman in his third year. ISU's offense was manhandled in that game, and then just completely overwhelmed in the following ND game. Hall under 60 yards in both games. It was a big time red flag that the offense development was significantly lagging. Campbell did nothing. Covid just delayed what is now happening by a year.

I like what a couple of folks said in the threads earlier this week. Campbell isn't coaching to win games; he's coaching to prove that his Toledo philosophy can work at the P5 level. Well, it marginally works when the team has NFL-level talent at a few skill positions. One poster astutley pointed out that Campbell was doing the transfer thing at Toledo well before eveyone else was (kind of like Hoiberg at ISU). He'd get a number of 5th year players from P5 schools every year, so his teams were more athletic than the other teams he played and his system could work.
