You can play the Hawkeye style of offense if you have a strong ground game AND solid special teams. We have neither right now so that's how we have so many losses in 18 months.
Absolutely not. I want to see him adjust and adapt and take more chances, but man, he's a good coach. He cares about this program and his kids. He stuck with ISU when he didn't have to.
If we turn this around this will be an interesting post to go back to lol. I truly feel like Campbell is our only hope for isu football. Maybe make some changes or something but we need to keep this guy
I would at least wait a couple more years to be critical. Look at the youth on this team. The potential seems to be there. Let him develop these guys then you can truly be critical
There is a real chance that CMC might have more wins that Coach Prime......we're talking 3 vs. 4 or so, but it might happen.
We won. And beat iowa, OU, and Texas that year. That’s why I think Campbell is on the hot seat . We can’t do anything now and the “changes” are not real changes to keep up.

I guess I could see him turning it around. I have zero confidence that he will now. He's whiffed too many times and is too stubborn. The die is cast, the pattern of speech and play has been set.
If he does somehow turn it around, he will make it sound like he was right all along. And that is not true.
It is a vote of no confidence from me, although I did not vote in the poll. JP needs to have a sit down and a dressing down of Campbell tomorrow. That's not happening either, I would suspect.

Whatever happened to the philosophy of ******** programs care about 6-6 records? So we have become one of those ******** programs.
The problem is that usually coaches only get one chance at that when things are on the downward slide.
Campbell used that chance to promote from within instead of bringing in someone new to run the offense.
Then again, if he's got a long rope from Pollard (like, until 2025 at least), they could always do a re-do of that decision.
I don't but honestly, sad thing and crazy thing, if it happens, I am not going to be nearly as upset as I would have been a couple years ago.
Golesch to me would be the obvious choice after thinking about it - from his time spent here and it wouldn't be 100% change in culture / philosophy but also, offensively, it'd be a badly needed face lift
