I think their height really bothered us at the start. First time playing against some tall athletic jumpers. Will face that a lot in the conference so good to see the win.

What game were you watching? Very good defense.
Multiple late rotations AND over helping leaving his man wide open on the perimeter. Was inarguably our worst offensive player for someone who’s supposed to be a strong shooter. And this has been every game this season. Trust me he won’t be getting significant minutes in Big 12 play

Yes he will. They'll need the depth.

He's a streaky player so he'll be streaky.

It’s easy to say we had a good second half (and we did). But for most of the half it seemed like every time we made a push VCU would answer to keep us at 7-8 pts arms length.

To weather all that and stay tough for the final push? Not many teams pull that off.

Whatever flaws TJ has as a coach, his ability to keep his team in the right mental space is definitely not in question

I struggled to find where you complimented him when he was in the groove.
Yeah, I didn't, but I'm not doing play-by-pla

Thanks for going back and finding all my posts. Those were in-the-moment comments.

The "too ambitious" was a specific possession toward the end. I liked what he was trying to accomplish, but I think he might have pushed it too much.

Difference between passionate and someone who overreacts every time something doesn’t go our way. I learned long ago that riding the roller coaster of emotions is not good for you. I love Iowa State, but I don’t get down when they lose because I have no control over the outcome.

I try not to ride the roller coaster, but I sure felt sick to my stomach when I learned about Georges broken foot that tournament yr. Also I was cheering pretty loud tonight that last couple of minutes.
