One other thing. A team with that length and athleticism can be a team that gives Rob a lot of trouble but he played fantastic we aren't even remotely in the game without him

He played his role perfectly tonight. Rebound, defend, set screens and hang around the basket to finish on drives and dishes and putbacks.

I admit, at one point I said Gilbert was "non-factor," but it wasn't a dis -- he wasn't able to get into a groove (and I think part of VCU strategy was to not let him or Milan do damage).

I struggled to find where you complimented him when he was in the groove.

Gilbert so far a non-factor.

Gilbert got too ambitious there.

Large family gathering here - we’re all elated. We were all frustrated with that first 35 minutes, and it was justified. Absolutely no one here is apologizing for “overreacting”. Go ‘Clones!

Just giving you my perspective. If you are allowed to voice your opinion, so am I. But getting upset every time we are losing in a game and then going into a message board and complaining about it is not healthy. But you have every right to do it. But just my opinion. You can disagree with me. That is your right. But I have the right to express my view too.

Loved our grit to battle back. Pretty cool to have a guy like Gilbert who can manufacture buckets when nothing is working. Gonna need that sometimes this year. Tamin was great. Tre King had some good buckets after a first half where I thought he was pretty bad--he forces a lot of things. Gotta take the good with the bad there. Excited for tomorrow! Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! Go State!

35 minutes??? I'd say 18 or 19 minutes. Frustrating part was how timid we played.

Yeah we were down 8 - 10 with ~5 minutes left, and up until that point VCU was playing with a ton of confidence (still) offensively.

Love the fight from our lead guards to power through down the stretch.

I agree, the squad was timid for awhile there. A lot of lessons to learn from that tape. It’s GREAT to have that tape AND a win.
