Depends how you define 'winning'.

I try not to ride the roller coaster, but I sure felt sick to my stomach when I learned about Georges broken foot that tournament yr. Also I was cheering pretty loud tonight that last couple of minutes.
Oh believe me, I was pumped when Tamin hit the go ahead floater. And same about George’s’ foot. But that was a special year that just got stopped short. But I very rarely dwell on a game afterwards, especially loses.

Thank God for defense and for being able to drive.
I wasn’t able to watch or listen today. Thanks for posting Iowa State’s game stats. I see Gilbert took half our FTs and made 80% - 12/15 (with the rest of the team just 40%, including the other guards 50% - 6/12 and our front court 0-3 at the line). A guard who can drive and shoot FTs is a valuable addition.

We had no business being in this game at all, let alone win it with the way the team played in the first half. Great adjustments by TJ at half got us the win here even with VCU playing better than expected from outside.

Gritty win. I like the determination the team showed to pull this one out after having a rough night. Says a lot about the character of this team.

I think VCU will end up being a pretty good win by year’s end.

I think people need to realize there’s a difference between “playing well” and “shooting well”.

People are too quick to see a few missed shots and totally ignore what that player is doing on the defensive end

Take Curtis Jones. He had 4 assists and another zero TOs tonight. He’s only got 2 turnovers on the entire season also gets a lot of steals and rebounds well.

Shoutout to Rob Jones tonight. Absolutely don’t win that game without him.

I don’t think there’s anything going on with Watson, this was just a matchup where he couldn’t use his athleticism to his advantage.
