Yeah I suppose. Hope yesterday was an all around complete kick in the nuts for Kstaters.
I also think that particular poster was joking there. Elsewhere though, my experience (limited exclusively to online interactions) is many KSU fans are similar to EIU fans in that they have an inflated and delusional view on their standing in the college football hierarchy. Bill Snyder had a ~10-year stretch where they were a legit top 10 team most of the time, maybe if they make another play or two or another 50/50 call or two goes their way, they could have played for a national championship, but they didn't. Some of their fans seem to think that during this time they were the equivalent of peak Osborne Nebraska.
More recently, they definitely want Iowa State to be a team they are clearly on another level than. Their peak as a program when they had an all-time great coach was certainly much higher than ISU has ever been even for one season, but aside from that we are pretty similar programs who are pretty competitive with each other.
MC is the greatest coach in the history of ISU. Did his best coaching job this year. Won 4 conference games on the road with one against a ranked team while starting more freshman than any team in the B12. Should win his 4th B12 COY but won't. And people still mad because he lost to Ohio.
I think of all the heartbreak and near misses we had against KSU for so many years. It's very satisfying to be on the other end of one of these games.

I go back to the flag picking up fiasco. Dislike kstate cheating bastards as much as KU basketball cheating bastards.
I thought we were headed for a similar fall with the untimely PI's. Thankfully we held.
I kept waiting for the 'Flag' symbol to show up on the screen after that 4th down stop.
And then Rocco had me nervous running around a bit before going down. Getting seconds off the clock was important but man was that a tough ending to a game (2015).
Yeah I was a little nervous with how far back we were, but it was another showcase of Rocco's poise and knowing what we needed to do to win.
Thought KSU had time to call one more timeout and make us snap one more time? Though we're only talking 1-2 seconds.
Offensive Line deserves significant credit in this victory. They played really well in conditions that were less than ideal for getting good footing. I am still amazed at how well we handled the snowy field yesterday.
