Another: Tracey Ullman's They Don't Know. The single went to #8 on the Hot 100 in 1983. The follow up charted at #70 (Breakaway), but she never reached the U.S. charts again.

Breakaway was released before They Don't Know in the UK and was a huge hit there. I thought it was a great choice for her, but I was already familiar with it from Irma Thomas's version from the 60's.

Interesting tidbit - song was co-written by Jackie DeShannon and Sharon Sheeley. Jackie was big in the 60's, as well, including touring with the Beatles. Sharon Sheeley was Eddie Cochran's girlfriend and a song writer with her own credits. She was in the same car accident in the UK that killed Eddie Cochran, and was severely injured.

Not sure this can even be considered a one hit wonder as it’s a cover song. There are quite a few examples of bands not doing anything besides a lucky cover song that got airplay. Another example is Zombie by Bad Wolves
Uh, "Remember When" was huge for Bad Wolves.

What I've gathered from skimming through this is a lot of people struggle with counting.

I think what I learned from my Blur post is that our exposure to a band comes through various mediums across different time periods with different radio or tv stations. So while something like Semisonic is a band I liked a whole cd of, most would consider them a one hit wonder.

Eagle Eye Cherry - Save Tonight
Wheatus- Teenage Dirtbag
Semisonic - Closing Time
New Radicals - You Get What You Give
Marcy Playground - Sex and Candy
DC Talk - Jesus Freak
Powerman 5000 - An Eye Is Upon You or Tonight The Stars Revolt
Barenaked Ladies - One Week
Fireflies
Crazy Town - Butterfly
Shawn Mullins - Lullaby
The Fray - Over My Head and How To Save A Life
Good Charlotte - The Anthem
Bowling For Soup - 1985
Five for Fighting - Superman
Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars
Dido - White Flag

That’s a playlist from turn of the century I keep around.

That album was a full-on 60s vibe. Loved it.

This was actually the #2 follow-up to the #4 Real Real Real.

Never heard of Real Real Real...looked it up...first time I've even heard that one. Kinda crazy-you'd have thought it would have been all over the radio at #4.

Had to look that up. Never heard that song in my life, but I’ll take your word for it

Almost fergot:

Sweet is not a one hit wonder, they had 3 or 4 other hits. Another poster listed Joan Jett and the Blackhearts as one hit wonders too, they had more than that.
