Testifying
They junked the BCS and replaced it with something worse. We saw that out of the gate with TCU getting screwed over for Ohio State.

It's a TV show. Nothing more.
BUT OHIO STATE'S QB WAS HURT!?!!?!

What game would u all rather watch? A undermanned Florida state vs Michigan or Alabama vs Michigan? I think you are lying to yourself if you don’t think Bama gives Michigan the better game right now than Florida State
It is not about which game I’d rather watch. It’s about which team performed in the field and deserved to be in the playoffs based on their season accomplishments.

Always has been, that’s what sports is…
Yes but ALL other leagues have things determined on the field of play not by some subjective beauty pageant. I mean then we never get the David Tyree catch over the unbeatable Patriots. We don't get the Mavs upsetting the Heatles because in no way were the Mavs one of the top couple of teams that year.

Thank God we all didn't get entertained by TCU upsetting the vaunted Michigan Wolverines last year. Don't care they got smashed in the final against Georgia. Everybody was that wasn't Ohio State.

Maybe someone brought this up, but why even rank FSU 4 there last week? It’s not like they lost their QB during the CCG, or even the week before the CCG. Pretty much no way they would get into the playoff and it makes the stupid committee look even dumber.

Feel bad for FSU. Got beat out not by one - but two - one loss teams.

This is clearly committee insisting on having an SEC team in but not (justifiably) having the balls to put Bama in over Texas due to the head-to-head results.

SEC bias is alive and well. Zero chance this happens with any other conference champion.

March Madness is the only thing right in major college sports right now.

That’s why the playoff is expanding, college sports from March madness to CFP has always been like this

Yes, but also a loss to any team in one game doesn't mean that team is better. Is OU better than UT? Or is Northwestern better at basketball than Purdue since they just beat them? The head to head between Alabama and Texas should not matter. The criteria for the CFP is not head to head records.
If you are choosing between two teams with the same record it is all that should matter, especially since the loser was at home.

FSU isn’t Ohio State and they play in the ACC, it’s not fair even if it’s correct but that’s 100% what happened

Then why even rank them 4 going into this week. What changed?

The best 4 team thing is BS too, a team wins 29 games in a row or whatever and loses in a CCG against another team who is top 4 in their opinion and drops to 6? You’re telling me they think FSU, with their backup QB is better than Georgia? The committee makes literally no sense. Hypocrisy abounds.

Best part is nobody in that committee would ever admit that if it was FSU vs. say an Oregon State that was in Bama's position this would even be a discussion. We started this four-team CFP committee with a joke and are ending it with one. Thank God this era of college football is coming to a close.

Funny they didn't leave unbeaten FSU of all teams out in the first year (2014) when it was clear the four "best" teams were actually Bama, Ohio State, TCU and Oregon. FSU with Winston eked by in an extremely weak ACC. Then it was proven to be true they were not one of the four best by getting absolutely annihilated by Oregon in the Semis.

Very true, Alabama vs Michigan will be a better game, but again just like in 2014 they left a team out that should have been in, FSU this year TCU in 2014. If you can go undefeated and still not get it, while teams like OSU and Alabama can have a loss and make it into the playoff, then what is the point of having a playoff? Just say the Alabama, Georgia, OSU and a couple other schools have the best roster and if they lose a game, it counts less than if you TCU or even a perfect record FSU does.

That’s just the way the math worked this year, most other years Georgia would be in. Losing at the end of the season has always hurt more then the beginning, that’s nothing new
