It's pretty and not little
I mean sure if you are trying to be a G5 school.

Baylor facilities are almost the smallest in the B12 current or future, and are only able to stand against schools that have just came up from G5 and havent upgraded to P4 level facilities yet.

Say what you want you came here and tried to brag about facilities and got laughed at, then threw a ring in peoples face, because you couldnt handle people not thinking Baylor was all that.

You want us to throw Baylors criminal history in its face? Or just leave it where it is.

Baylor sucks, its fanbase sucks, its history sucks, and no one likes them. Everyone remembers how crappy they have treated people through the years and how they have acted. I am pretty sure there are not too many fandoms in the B12 that dont believe Baylor should have been thrown out and relegated to G5 at best.

And pointing out G5 level facilities just add to that, either accept that when posting about Baylor on an ISU board, of all places, or move on. It has been very chippy for several years between ISU and Baylor because of Baylors ****, so I am not sure what you expected.

Where did they get the money for all these new facilities? I swear if it’s because my wife is buying s**t from that annoying house-flipping couple then I’m getting a divorce.
I've never been to any of their places and we both think he's a clown, and don't like her farmhouse style or shipman at all. They did sit a couple of rows in front of us at the 2015 Cotton Bowl.
Baylor has money... just not more than God, like aggy and Texas have

The only remarkable thing about it is they managed not to have a floor that is loud and distracting, which seems to be the trend these days. So that's nice I guess. Otherwise it's pretty meh.
I don't disagree. The biggest complaint about Ferrell was how far away seats were from the court, so they decided on a retro 50s style field house look so all the seats are as close as possible to the game

I've been to the Ferrell Center I actually thought it wasn't a bad place for BB. I have always wondered about Baylor attendance issues, but if it's not FB Texans don't care is my summation (accurate or not). But really I'm not surprised we are giving you grief over the tiny gym. It's cute and all but ISU fans just are flummoxed that good teams can't draw good crowds. Many of us drive a hour plus in weather way more interesting than Texas usually get.

The new gym looks really nice though and you guys actually probably rightsized your gym to maximize revenue amenity revenue through seat donations etc.. Hell Tx new arena i think is 10,000 for BB. (just googled 10,763 for BB ridiculous for a school that size IMO.)
I'm old school and love Hilton for BB I'll put it against any arena in the B12 for atmosphere on a in conference game night. There is a small contingent that thinks it needs suites etc... but I'm not one of them.

I literally just noticed this thread the other day and with Foster opening tomorrow night I thought I'd post it since this is a Big XII page.
Truly didn't think I'd get you into your Brain Stem so deeply. Happy New Year

Houston MSA is 10k square miles. Iowa is 55k square miles so not even close. We all know Texas is bigger, why do you have to lie to try to prove a point?

Let see.
Baylor sucks at attendance for all sports including Football in the mighty Football state of TX.

Waco, is more than twice the size of Ames.

D-FW metro area is only about 1 hour drive away, with massive population.

In Texas a state that dwarfs Iowa and other states in the B12 in population.

Many ISU fans regularly drive multiple hours to games, I sit by fans from 3 hours away that have season football and basketball tix.

We are in a tiny state in population and compete with 3 other D1 schools for fans, Baylor is in a huge state with more D1 schools, but has more people in 1 city as we do in the entire state.

You have excuses but the truth is Baylor fans suck.
We have season FB tickets and live in the NW suburbs of the Twin Cities. That is at least a 3 1/2 hour drive even with my lead foot.

Nobody here seems to realize that Iowa State is a pretty extreme attendance outlier. Live attendance at games is dying and smaller buildings with amenities and party spaces are the future. You're competing with 75" HD screens where you don't have to wait in line for food or the bathroom.

While I get that. ISU is awesome, not too many can bring fans like ISU can, even with our records and history.

But I dont think too many schools out there can win a Natty or be in conf championship etc and still not be able to fill a small arena or stadium, or at least struggle to.

Most of those that are winning like that are not having to much trouble filling the house, even with much much larger facilities. I mean I dont think Mich or Ala are having trouble filling stadiums more than double the size of Baylors. Kansas is not having trouble filling Phog.

Thats why the ring brag just made it worse. They won a ring just a few years ago, and now are building a facility that is half the size of most in P5. They have had a lot of success in recent years and still struggled to fill their stadium with any consistency too. And it is the size of a G5 stadium.

Sure like was stated Waco has a lot of non Baylor fans in the city. But in an hour radius of Waco there are more people than the entire state of Iowa, or close to it, and its not like there are not a lot of Hok fans that live in the Ames area. The whole idea that somehow Ames has only ISU fans when Waco has so many fans of other schools is ridiculous, especially when Waco is 2-3 times the size. The entire argument given didnt hold up.

All just more reasons Baylor should have been relegated to G5 back when the SWC and B8 merged. They never should have made it into the B12 and if it wasnt for the back room political deal they never would have.

my bad. I just looked it up and I was wrong. In my head you were the same size as CT, but you are way bigger!

Is this for real? I guess the fied at Arrowhead will be pretty crappy by the end of the year!
It's not surprising and has been discussed as a likely possibility for Kansas to play their home games at Arrowhead during their massive stadium renovation. The field itself will be fine; the NFL requires fields to be heated

This isnt necessarily relevant, but I like Scott Drew, just saying. Your FB Coaches, meh not so much. But always liked Scotty D.

side note: those Baylor matchups during the Fred years were a freaking blast.

The population around Waco is pretty much equivalent to Ames as well. I drove to the Alamo bowl and I was astounded at how developed pretty much the whole I-35 corridor is from Dallas to San Antonio. I was expecting desert and tumble weeds for long stretches and there was very little of that.

The one thing I hate about Baylor is the fanbase of so called "Baptists or Christians" and they stood up for and threw a fit that Art Briles was getting fired for the crap he pulled. That was insanity.
