Speaking of smart speakers. I have these things all over the house and I swear they are no better than when I bought them 6 years ago. 1/2 of the smart displays in our house have turned into fancy looking clocks.

Dang e15 for 2.39 at ellsworth Iowa today.
I don't track E15 prices but that seems really cheap. The last time I looked, it really didn't make financial sense for me to choose E15. Has something changed?

E15 is the same as unleaded 88. E85 is the one that usually doesn't pencil.

Decided to stick my head out the front door of our building to see the snow. How much it appears that we're getting can be deceiving with how the buildings are set up.

1) We have that nice "quietness" that comes with snow. You could hear what were probably private contractor snow plows in the subdivision next to us, but they weren't too loud.
2) Our hallway smells like cat piss. Ugh.

I think going from #1 to #2 there gave me whiplash.

@wxman1 did you see where a air Alaska flight blew a door plug out? Scary deal IMO. Luckily all were ok I believe.

Not quite the same. However I did the math. Ethanol has 33% less energy than pure gasoline. Since they are putting 5% less gasoline in E15 you have .33 x .05 = .0165%. So you would have to pay about $0.05 less (technically $0.0495) to break even. I think that is about the discount you usually get for E15. If they are continuing to give you a nickel discount on E15 when prices get much higher than $3.00 it makes less sense (since that nickel buys less fuel) and when prices get lower than $3.00 it makes more sense.

Feel free to check my maths...

Yeah that was something. Especially since United has since found five of their Max 9s with loose or missing fasteners as well.

My sister flies Alaskan out of SeaTac almost exclusively. Told her to be sure she's wearing her seatbelt at all times.

Our flight on Monday starts w/United (we switch to Turkish Air in Chicago). First thing I did was check the equipment being used on all of our flights. o_O

This really should be one of the important messages coming out of this. If you are in your seat there is no reason not to have your seatbelt on.

We always do. But I know a LOT of people around us don't.
Wasn't there some weird flex on Air Force One years ago where no one wore their seatbelts (even on takeoff or landing) because it was the safest plane in the air (because it was carrying the President)? Or am I remembering a West Wing TV trope?
