This is rich. I guess you missed the whole Jimmer-mania thing. BYU was the most popular team in the country and we got a POY.
So your best year ever you were a 3 seed and lost in the Sweet 16?

Iowa State has been a 3 seed multiple times and have 3 Sweet 16s, an Elite 8 and 5 Big 12 tourney titles just since 2000.

Seriously? A team was deemed national champs after playing that schedule? And their bowl game was against 6-5 Michigan? Must have been the December 21 Bluebonnet Bowl? Thank goodness we have a playoff now to avoid such an outcome.

They got ranked highly purely because Pitt was ranked #3 in preseason polls (finished unranked), and then poll inertia on a soft schedule brought them to #1.

And Michigan was down their starting QB (Jim Harbaugh) for the last month of the season.

The real #1 should probably have been Washington. They beat the same michigan team at michigan in September, when Michigan would have been at full strength. And they beat #2 OU in the Orange bowl to end the season. Their only loss was @USC

How deep did Jimmer take you that one year BYU didn't suck? ISU has lots of recent seasons that successful or better.

Iowa had a player of the year too and Iowa State has 5x the success they've had this century as well.

Imagine having one good season in an entire quarter century and signing up to talk smack about it on other boards.

I went to Cincinatti's site and we were instant friends and it was all positive. Iowa State just has strange beef with BYU. I don't know why you are so threatened by having us in the conference.

Maybe I do get it. BYU has accomplished alot more than Iowa State and other teams in the Big 12. We have Heisman trophies and a national championship in football and POY in basketball. We win Directors Cups. You should see it a positive BYU makes the Big 12 so much better and gives it credibility it didn't have before.
You are a troll, nothing more, nothing less. I am thankful and also sure that not all BYU fans show your arrogance and unsubstantiated bravado, on our site no less.

Keep it up, we don't really care. It only helps our site. I will enjoy hearing about your excuses and perspective after we play again in Ames.

As far as the "assault" by Ward against Saunders, although I do not condone it, welcome to the Big 12. Who knows what was being said, you guys are not saints, BYU players were getting away with a several fouls, and Saunders had just committed a hard foul on our guy 30" prior. Also Waterman had just laid on our guy, Watson, and when he rolled to get up, he torqued Watson's head and neck with his arm and shoulder. Watch it again. This was a breaking point for Ward as he helped his guy get up. He made a statement on the foul shots, and was ejected for it.

Ward has never shown this level of aggression or combative play in the two years he has been a Cyclone, that I can tell. Hm, maybe that should tell you something? Again, I'm not condoning what he did. Some on here will.

The way you post and respond, I highly doubt you are even a BYU fan, but carry on.

Hey.

They had to play Gonzaga in the WCC sometimes. Nuff said.

Hopefully the Big 12 is ready for that.

BYU demolished Washington to start the following season proving our national title was completely legit. BYU would've beat anyone and everyone in 1984.

Not interested in grocery store amateur crap. We go to real soda shops for packed soda. That's how we do it where I come from. Had a 32 oz in fridge ready go this morning.

You got any thoughts on the 1961 US Open? Just as relevant to the conversation as that is.

Gene Littler had a heckuva run. Shot a 68 twice to come out of nowhere and win his first Open championship. Never won another I believe. Arnold Palmer had won it the year before but wasn't a factor, and Nicklaus finished fourth as an amateur.

Jimmer, last of the Shanghai Sharks.

What we've got here is a Kitten of the Lord.

I actually really like glass bottle craft soda once in a while as a treat to myself...I just can't imagine creating an account on some random college sports message board to talk smack about it.

Also not 32oz bottles, I mean I'm not a total slob like this guy.
