You got any thoughts on the 1961 US Open? Just as relevant to the conversation as that is.

Gene Littler had a heckuva run. Shot a 68 twice to come out of nowhere and win his first Open championship. Never won another I believe. Arnold Palmer had won it the year before but wasn't a factor, and Nicklaus finished fourth as an amateur.

I was just going to say we're talking about the same year people thought the Bears Superbowl Shuffle music video was a cool thing...and the've been almost the worst team in the NFL for 40 years since then.

BYU's AD probably has some head coaches that weren't alive for the '84 season.

Good Lord, why is this game thread for a game that occurred several days ago still alive? Time to move on.

Is this guy really saying Jimmer Fredette is some sort of flex? The dude was a chucker and everyone knew he had no chance in the NBA. Iowa State currently has one of the biggest superstars in the NBA in Tyrese Haliburton, so let’s not go down the measuring players thing.

Also, America cared about a few things during Jimmer’s time. ‘08 was Derrick Rose and Memphis, ‘09 was that insanely good UNC team with Tyler Hansbrough who the media slobbered over more than Jimmer, ‘10 was a really good Duke team, so enough said and ‘11 Kemba Walker laughs at Jimmer all day. Once the real games were played in March it was all Kemba and UConn from the Big East Tournament on. While Jimmer was getting eliminated in the Sweet 16.

Not interested in grocery store amateur crap. We go to real soda shops for packed soda. That's how we do it where I come from. Had a 32 oz in fridge ready go this morning.
Ok I'll ask what is a packed soda, to lazy to Google.

They have 3 NCAA wins this century and he came here flexing against ISU basketball.

He hasn't even seen his first game at Hilton or Phog yet.

Three of their last 5 are @KSU, @ISU, @KU...methinks this guy won't be coming around those weeks.

I went to Cincinatti's site and we were instant friends and it was all positive. Iowa State just has strange beef with BYU. I don't know why you are so threatened by having us in the conference.

Maybe I do get it. BYU has accomplished alot more than Iowa State and other teams in the Big 12. We have Heisman trophies and a national championship in football and POY in basketball. We win Directors Cups. You should see it a positive BYU makes the Big 12 so much better and gives it credibility it didn't have before.
You guys looked like championship caliber football program this fall. And Jimmer is going to light up that 3 on 3 league.

So I guess you’re right.
