Dude he was the QB of a team that almost won the Big 12. I love the guy but that was an actual Iowa State team.
Of the 5 finalists Jackson was absolutely the least deserving. The top 2 clearly should have been Purdy or McCaffrry.
Regular season MVP is a joke, essentially the flavor-of-the-week best QB. CMC/Dak/Purdy/Allen all had better reasons to win the award, but because Lamar played his best games near the end of the season left a better taste in the media's mouth to give him the award.
Now that the award ceremony's over, Purdy had a much bigger argument to win, but if there was ever a time for a RB to win it, this was the year, and CMC didn't get a single first place vote. It's just crazy that in a year of "down QB's" (media was never gonna let Purdy win unless he played perfectly all year), that the best offensive player in the NFL didn't get a single 1st place vote.

its a recency biasd award and no way was lamar's overall work throughout the season better than really any of the finalist.
i would have gave it to mccaffery, personally.

I feel like Brock is still going to look like that in 30 years. Just one of those lucky people who has a youthful look about him. Baby face.
I wouldn’t mind it if Brock beats Mahomes by the same score Mahomes lost in Ames, 66-10. Then The next couple of weeks, I’ll listen to all the Brock haters do their mental gymnastics to prove that they were right all along. That will be fun. And then for the encore, listen to Hok fans say that Clark‘s accomplishments are more than Brock.

Agree. Dak coming in 2nd invalidates the entire award in my view.
I hadn't looked at the order of finish yet, and honestly those who voted should be embarrassed to have Dak second. For crying out loud.
