LSU is the 17th best shooting team in NCAA women's basketball, that is above average. They are 3rd in scoring offense (85.9 ppg), and they allow teams to score 62.5 points per game (128th). LSU out rebounds their opponents by 12.6 per game. LSU holds their opponents to 36.6% shooting. They aren’t deep at all, They typically only play 7 girls. They are an average shooting team, decent at defense and physical but foul trouble has played them all year.
They are relentless on the offensive glass. If it’s a super physical game where they call a lot of fouls that will hurt LSU just as much as it does. Iowa, probably a little bit more….

Iowa isn't really that deep, they play more players but those extra players play very few minutes, just look at the Iowa/WVU box score. Iowa has the 304th best defense in NCAA Women's basketball (71.1 ppg). Iowa is # 2 in field goal percentage, and first in points per game. Iowa ou rebounds their opponents by 7.6 per game. Iowa holds their opponents to 39.6% shooting
In LSU's five losses, they had one foul out total in the five losses. In those five losses they had 87 fouls, their opponents had 86 fouls. If foul trouble was such an issue, they wouldn't be 31-5.
LSU is a better defensive team than Iowa and has no issues playing at Iowa's pace. Iowa likes to play fast, and that is how they beat teams. LSU can play fast, and Kim will have no issues pushing the officials.
I’ve watched them both play 50 times. Seen all their losses in fact. I doubt you’re going to add any insight to what I’ve seen. I do appreciate you trying.
But you want them to lose, so your reviewing best envisions it happening.
Iowa opened as a favorite by the way. It will be a hell of a game and I believe Iowa wins….
Good call bringing up the West Va game. I read a recap that suggested although some might be concerned after that game, they shouldn’t be….
It was a really telling game. Iowa shot terribly and won by 10, holding West Va to their 2nd lowest output all year. Iowa has proved they can win in any game.
Wonder what the TV viewer numbers will be for the game? Colorado game was at 3.3M, less than the WVU game of 4.9M but still one of the top views of the season. Not an ABC game but still should be a yuge viewing.
BTW, I might be the only one here that doesn't believe (1) Clark is bad person (2) Clark hype is bad for WBB (3) Clark's teammates hate her (4) Bluder is a terrible coach (5) my DR niece graduated from a terrible school.
Absent those I am able to just watch as a WBB fan. Your task of trying to have any reasonable or remotely objective discussion is probably going to be futile. I've looked for a place to talk WBB hoops but other than the Boneyard, and it's deep east coast bias, there just isn't anywhere that isn't elite team centric.
I’m not sure anyone on here believes that Clark is a bad person. Most don’t like her on court demeanor. That doesn’t make her a bad person. She's doing some wonderful things with her charity and relates to the public quite well. I’m also not sure how anyone could think she's bad for WBB. She's definitely made it more relevant and put it in more people's radars. Been lots of talk about how the WBB is more viewable than the men’s tournament. I might fall in the "don’t like Bluder" as a person category, but she has surrounded herself with some top notch assistants that develop talent.Wonder what the TV viewer numbers will be for the game? Saw that…exactly how does that happen and why has nobody noticed ALL season? At least one of the 3-point lines in Portland is wrong. They appear to be different on each end of the floor -- shorter on camera left.
They asked the NC state coach during the first break. He did not want to talk about it. Just said “they’re measuring some things.”At least one of the 3-point lines in Portland is wrong. They appear to be different on each end of the floor -- shorter on camera left.

Well we got the "nobody believed we would be in this place, right here" from Staley.
Amy BonnerI can't remember her name but the 40ish white woman with the black hair always worn in a ponytail moved up to reffing the men's games. She was in Hilton multiple times this yr
NCAA women's tourney only has to have two floors for the S16/E8 and they still manage to screw it up.At least one of the 3-point lines in Portland is wrong. They appear to be different on each end of the floor -- shorter on camera left.
Was this pointed out during the Sweet 16? I can’t imagine they played 2-3 games on TELEVISION and no-one noticed a difference until now.NCAA women's tourney only has to have two floors for the S16/E8 and they still manage to screw it up.
I didn't watch that regional on Friday night, so I can't answer. Was this pointed out during the Sweet 16? I can’t imagine they played 2-3 games on TELEVISION and no-one noticed a difference until now.
