There are a lot of cool EV's coming out the rest of the year. I think this VW Buzz is going to be a big hit and I can't wait to see one. I do think they are about $10k overpriced across the lineup.

The US will get three versions of the A6 when it goes on sale next year in either late spring or early summer. There's a 362 hp (270 kW) rear-wheel drive A6 Sportback e-tron, a 422 hp (315 kW) all-wheel drive A6 Sportback e-tron quattro, and a 496 hp (370 kW) S6 Sportback e-tron, which is also all-wheel drive and which can increase its output to 543 hp (405 kW) for short bursts using launch control.

No official price but it sounds like $70-$90k and a 280(a)-400(s) mile range

I’ll be repeating some of the things I’ve posted before in this thread. I have a 2021 Nissan Leaf…picked it up because Nissan was running a $1000 down and $99/month for 24 months lease. Wife wanted an EV so I signed up. Bought it at the end of the lease.
I’ve now had the Leaf for three years, 18K…here’s my thoughts….
The Leaf is a great, even wonderful vehicle for urban driving. I live in Fort Collins and the Leaf has been to Denver, Estes Park, Red Feather Lakes and Cheyenne, Wyoming. Range is supposed to be 167 miles at full charge…I’ve been able to do round trips to all of the above destinations with approx 20-30% of charge remaining when I return home.
I’ve always charged the car with just 110 on the slow charge, battery cap is still at 99%+. Seems the trickle charge is better than the rapid charge. No mechanical issues at all…have replaced the tires all round..not sure why. Had an alignment done and everything was to spec.
In conclusion, the car is fun to drive, dependable, inexpensive to operate (so far) and just about perfect for around town and round trips of 100 miles or so.It can be a bit scary if I travel up into the mountains west of here..as you gain elevation the car uses more electricity…you’re down to 45% after going up hill but when you return down it recharges and you gain battery.

Just checked the Denver Craigslist..there are several Leafs with about the same mileage and year as mine…$12k-17k…these are affordable. BTW..I do use a gas car for extended trips but the Leaf, IC duo is hard to beat for us.

They know their market very well. People who are stuck in the early 1970s for car logic and have way more money than sense (or appreciation for quality).

Looks like all they are missing is a bag full of gas fumes to release into the cabin after reaching a trigger speed.

I'm really kind of floored by the massive interior and range of my neighbor's EV9, the exterior design is probably not going to please everybody. I'm guessing this will compete with that and some will like the look enough to pay extra for it over EV9.

Seems like they're searching for a customer that doesn't exist.

I was at the Kia dealer last week for service and checked out the EV9. Very nice but the top end model was approaching $80k. On these $50k+ vehicles, I'd probably pay a $10k premium over an ICE equivalent, but that's about it. Although it's probably not fair to compare something like a Telluride with an EV9.

Off topic, but speaking of overpriced, this is a $65k Toyota Tacoma. No options added price.

I think EV9 may be a far better deal to lease than buy, my friend got an insane deal on a lease to the point I'd almost call it a budget car compared to other lease deals especially in a high gas price area. He's definitely going to save $$$ over the vast majority of 3 row ICE cars he could have leased.
