LB was a little shaky in the 1st quarter but was quite good after that. Brezina is gonna be an AlI timer I think. Be great to have him, Bacon and McLaughlin.

Both are true, but I give the edge to ISU even with my bias.
By the time the game was winding down our margin for error was razor thin, if not nonexistent on the last drive. We kept our poise and made the plays.
It was not a good day for Hansen but he was talked up quite a bit by Blum. Maybe it was an off day.

After how many times we've blown games like that or folded to Iowa, uhhhh, yeah it feels pretty good. I'm not in the state either, but I still hear plenty from Iowa fans. That win completely changes the tone of the season. You're just ignoring that Iowa is our biggest rival? In college football?

I don't know who Lachey is and I may be drinking the Kool Aid but Higgins is elite at the catch.
Lachey is a good TE (on a bad offense) but Higgins and Noel are better ball catchers. Both Noel and Higgins had catches in the last game in which the catch percentage had to be incredibly low.
The touchdown catch by Higgins was the perfect microcosm of the entire game.

And I'm not sure where he is in the speed, route running, etc. columns but that kind of ability has to be strong consideration for a chance in the league and with his length I'd guess he gets a good look at some point.
Sure it would have been but EIU does not have the speed that UT had at the position with the Worthy kid as one of those, so we were not worried that EIU was going to get past us while the UT receivers could. The DB were daring EIU to throw deep, but their QB doesn't have the arm for it, nor the WR the speed to beat us.
How is Lachey an All American candidate is what I would like to know? The PR machine over east must be unbelievable to get these kids mentioned for awards year after year. As a sophomore he had 28 catches for 398 yards and 4 TD, as a Junior only played 3 games because of injury, 10 catches, 131 yards and no TD. This season through 2 games 6 catches all in game one, 63 yards and no TD's. Granted they have put a lot of TE into the NFL, but you have to produce to make an All American team, and so far this kid isn't doing it.
