So do you think it was only there for 2 years? I don't think it was there very many years, but just can't quite remember. I'm almost certain it was just 1994. The old set of metal bleachers were in the SEZ in 1993:

The vertical striping is the way to go after seeing these few throwbacks. The Rhoads era jerseys definitely got that part right but lacked the white trim and gold helmet to tie it all together.

fwiw the 90s era navy helmet cart was there during these years from my experience. Back when the old track and tennis courts were still there between Cap Timm and the XC course.

The gold pants look great, especially with the red socks - & gold over white numbers is absolutely the superior look

There should be a rule that home/color jerseys with colored numbers (as opposed to most of them having white ones) must be paired with pants that match the color of the numbers.

White numbers? Do what you want.

Gold numbers? Gold pants. Silver numbers (e.g., the Raiders)? Silver pants, etc.

My main complaint about the "Purdy era" home uniforms wasn't the design itself (though I wasn't in love with some of its elements) but rather the gold numbers with cardinal/white pants.

That set could have looked really good with some gold plants. I'm glad we have them now even if we only see them sparingly. I'd love to see them this weekend to contrast with the Ark St. red/black and/or down in Houston next week with W-W-G or C-W-G to contrast with Houston's red uniforms.

I really did not like the script Cyclones when WBB wore them but perhaps with some good striping, they can be flushed out. Will require something much better than what our current MBB uniforms have for side stripes. Which are an abomination

Huh? Our current MBB uniforms are rock solid. Outside of the stupid “I-State” logo on the yellow jersey, they are overall about as solid as it gets. The side striping is really good too. It’s unique and isn’t a stock template, yet isn’t overly weird or busy. Our home whites with the yellow “Cyclones” across the chest are pretty damn good, as good as anything we’ve ever had with Nike.
