I could be wrong but with both the Royals and Tigers winning today, I think the Twins have to win out going 4-0 (three against the very good Orioles) and have KC or Det lose two to have a shot?

I like your optimism, but this is 99% over. I hope I am wrong

The Orioles might not have anything to play for. It's the only hope.

Friday night will for sure matter for the Orioles. If they beat New York tonight they stay alive in the East for at least 1 more day. If they lose to New York they are now only 3 ahead of Detroit and Detroit holds tie breaker vs Baltimore.

Given that the Tigers play the White Sox the Orioles might have to keep their foot on the gas to avoid playing in Detroit.

Yup. Crazy how so much is at stake for so many teams with basically three games to go

Unfortunately the Twins started getting ready for the off season late August. You could see it in the way they played. Yes, they had some players hurt.... but they looked like they lost any enthusiasm they once had.

I just watched that entire game. Wow. Just wow. The fundamentals of this team are so bad. Provus blurted out “Come on guys. You can’t do that” after the bunt double play. I was laughing at the end. This was two bad teams setting the sport back a few decades.

That was an inexcusable loss. Hard to see Rocco surviving such an epic collapse. At least they can’t get blown out by the Astros in two playoff games now.

Rocco’s not flawless. The blame should be placed elsewhere though.

Rocco was fine this game. The players lost this one. However, the blame for the season falls on every level. I think everyone thought they could coast to a playoff spot this season and the Royals and Tigers were better than expected.

The Twins left 15 runners on base last night..... that's pathetic. They earned their way out of success. It started in the off season with the front office. This organization deserved what it got this year.

Bingo. The front office, especially ownership, is a damn joke.

Burn all of the blue and yellow unis. It’s their fault. Fire the people that picked them. See you in March. Go Twins.
I actually liked the City Connect uniforms. This offseason is key. I would like a new coaching staff, a right hand hitting outfielder, and a power hitting first baseman. After that they don’t need much. Maybe some bullpen help. Go Twins!

Agree on the coaching staff. New bench coach, hitting coach, and pitching coach would be a start. We’ll see if Rocco survives.
The Twins have some young guys that can handle the corners. Top on my list are solid LH pitchers. Starters and relievers.

It's going to be tough if the owners don't want to spend money. Maybe the embarrassment of that collapse will make them spend.

I would be okay signing Santana again for first base.
