I have had the same take on this board.

You don’t like USC or Lincoln Riley and that’s fine most of don’t but if you can’t objectively see that the refs missed a call and it impacted the game we shouldn’t even keep arguing with you. It’s the only way sports exists so yea, it might not be perfect, but you deal with it and overcome it. USC had their chance in regulation and threw it away.
An egregious PI miss on a key play is a completely different thing than the old “holding can be called every play” cliche.
And that was a f’n textbook PI. So if a penalty is a penalty why didn’t they call it?How so? If it’s a penalty it’s a penalty.

Holding? Sure. But the Penn St defender was in the process of tackling when the ball was still yards away.
Take a step back from your “missed calls happen” and ask yourself. If that was Higgins or Noel in that exact situation in OT would you just shrug and say “missed calls happen”?
That’s what we are trying to argue my man. Everyone in this sport is accountable for their job or they get benched or fired. Except refs.Seems like that’s a question for the officials and not a message board poster.
I never said it shouldn’t have been called or that it wasnt a missed call, I just said USC should have never let it get to that.
Yeah, he would - he's of the opinion that the receiver should have caught the ball even while the receiver is wearing the defender like a backpack.

But your whole argument has been “missed calls happen” shrug. The call could literally impact the playoff picture.
It’s just happens right.
They are? Please provide examples on how they have been held accountable. I would be interested in specifics.Do you know how officials are evaluated? Officials are held accountable.
I blame the refs even when we win sometimes. We should have won by more!Losers blame the refs, simple as that. They were borderline calls and then they missed a field goal, sucks to suck.

Thanks. Any examples?NCAA officials are evaluated and graded on every play in a game.
Below is the link on how the process works in the SEC. I know this is similar to other conferences, which you can research at your own leisure.

That is what I thought. No examples of them being held accountable. If you’re really that interested, take up officiating. You’ll figure it out.
