I just got around to watching Season 2 of Halo on paramount. I'm a little bummed that they cancelled it after that season. It was just starting to get real interesting.

"Shrinking" on Apple TV+ is really good. Smart, funny, and just enough drama/emotional elements. Somehow they leave you on an emotional semi-cliff hanger almost every episode, but it never feels forced. About 4-5 episodes in to season 2 now.

Sugar was good right up until the last :20 and then it was a total WTF? moment that kind of ruined the series.

Separately, just finished Penguin on Max and thought it was good.

Agreed. They spent tried to play into his supposed sexuality more than they should have. It took away from the storylines at times.

About done doing my mini-binge of The Mandalorian. I like the main character and the host of interesting minor characters that come and go (the traitor/spy gal and Moff Gideon not so much...barf). The Troopers can't shot straight troupe is a little tiresome and the best episodes are not the ones founded around Moff Gideon. And maybe just a hint of clarity on how grown up mini-Yoda is would be useful since not everyone watching this has spent their life deep diving into Star Wars canon. Still, decent evening time killer and I like me some sci-fi.

Are the spin offs from this any good?

Two episodes into Landman. Pretty decent so far, maybe not as good as I had hoped. The relationship between Billy Bob and his ex-wife seems forced and weird. Also, not sure of any other way to describe it, but there's a creepy level of sexualization of his 17 year old daughter.

I have this on my shortlist to watch. I have heard it starts strong then tails off a bit.

I just started Season 3 of "Vikings; Valhalla" on Netflix. I've always enjoyed the "Vikings" shows and this spin-off is pretty good as well.

I just finished Heels on Netflix. It's a show about a small town wrestling business if you like pro wrestling it's very good. Cancelled after two seasons. However, they are pretty good seasons.
