that was 2004. 2005, we knocked Smith out of the game and freshmen Chase Daniels came in and lit us up
My recollection of the game where the unknown Chase Daniels was inserted and turned the game around for Mizzou was in Columbia. I listened on the radio while harvesting. But if I am incorrect, my excuse is too many ISU disappointments over the years that have overloaded my recall.

Me. Freezing rain and drizzle kept a lot of fans away. Stadium was probably half full at best. I remember ISU missed a chip shot FG that would have won the game. I think we lost in OT, but I have repressed exactly how that went down.
Dan McCarney made the cardinal sin of not having the QB center the ball for the kick. Unforgivable. Instead they handed off to Stevie Hicks and he cut outside so the kick was from the hash mark. Granted it still should have been a gimme from that distance except there were no gimme kicks during the McCarney years. Lots of bad karma.

I love McCarney and still do. But all that emotion prevented critical thinking in a lot of key situations. Not the only time McCarney failed to center it before a critical kick. Compare him to the placid Bill Snyder who always made the right moves late in games. He was surgical.

OK, so I’m a student. It’s Saturday morning and I’m shaking off the cobwebs from another night out with the home town friends. Hit it hard Wednesday and Friday night and did the family thing on Thursday. Starting to get bored at home. If I stay around til tomorrow my dad has a bunch of **** for me to do today. Night game so I have all day to get back to Ames. I’m going to the game.

Says the guy who went to ISU from ‘88 to ‘92 and never had a a home football game that remotely resembles this one.
89-93 here and my guess is majority stay in their home town and watch with friends in a warm bar. Gonna say low 50s for paid attendance. Prove me wrong fans/students.

You are correct. It was Columbia.

We shall not summon the memory of the Crypt Keeper during Farmageddon week

I'm just going to tell people now this game will not sell out. It's going to be like 15 degrees.
Somebody mentioend earlier, Thanksgiving is a challenge and I realized the student are not there. Honestly I doubut I'll be there either? But to my point there will be more people there as a result ofthe win than a loss. This has been a good supporting year for the football team, hopefully we can get a good crowd

I don't know why everyone is complaining about the CFP. Everything is above board. They know exactly what they are doing.

Tickets are for sale as low as $10 direct from the ticket office

I haven't been able to sell section 37, row 8 seats at $40/each

No way there is a significant revenue bump from this game
Where does one find $10 tickets?

All Jr cyclone club families got emails

OK. I just saw the Me+3 promotion and thought that was a good deal at $40 each. If there’s still seats available, I’d hope they do a $5 Black Friday deal to fill the place.

Sounds like at least for now it's a ISU Faculty/Staff promotion so if you know somebody that is. Wouldn't surprise me if they eventually open that up to everybody though depending on the demand.
