And I was saying what I meant by that was what I bolded in your quote. I think the same thing you do, I just worded it differently. You’re getting hung up on “gross” when all I meant is I won’t apologize for winning a game like that when we have been on the other side of those types of games many times before.
You are correct. I am hung up on the word gross. As I said, I feel fortunate.

I would say losing to kansas with the big 12 north on the line. What was that? 2005?
That was a big let down, but it wasn’t as self inflicted as the mistakes we made last night.

We were obviously a much better team and just did everything in our power to give the game away but managed to pull it out.

Is ISU/Mizzou 2004 online somewhere? I can't find it. I'd love to see how that game matches up to my memory of it.

I was making my way down the stands to go rush the field when Shaggy missed that kick.
It was hard to shake the feeling from that day. Those days make you wonder why you are a fan if it makes you feel that bad. From the outside the Bills won 4 straight AFC titles and got to play in 4 straight Superbowls. I am sure there were fans after those Superbowls that felt pretty bad. In my mind that was one of the most incredible runs in NFL history. Most fanbases only dream of that type of success. Yet there were fans and pundits who despised the coaches and team for not winning the SB.

Baylor 71-7 says hello about worse loss ever.
I disagree, I'm not talking about worst in terms of the score. I'm talking about whats on the line and what is the Cyclone's ceiling.

I'm assuming the game you are referencing was when Briles was at Baylor and the year they tied with TCU and the B12 got screwed out of a playoff contender. I can't remember ISU that year but I don't think we had a lot of expectations and what little ISU did it wasn't anywhere close to a conference championship.

Missouri game to go to the Big 12 Title game. Miserable day, and miserable ending to that game. Worst kick in the nuts ever for me.
That's a bad one. Unfortunately, ISU would have probably been steamrolled the next week in the championship. This is a championship ISU can actually win if it gets there and plays their best.

CU got smoked both those years. Still would've been an accomplishment for Mac/our program to just make it at that point in time.
Smoked isn’t strong enough. Rawdogged gets closer. The same would have happened to us.
