Tracking games played by the true freshmen

I think Eskildsen got a few reps against ASU at WR, but it looks like he’s one of those guys who’s a special teams regular. Likely won’t redshirt, and may get more reps at wideout as the season goes on.

Going by HS 100m times, he’s the fastest on the team.

Eskildsen did play WR against Arkansas State, and Neal saw some time at safety in that game.

A lot of times if a player is primarily a special teamer, Campbell will play them in 4 games early, or 4 games mid-season, or 4 games late, so they can still redshirt. I would think that Neal is done for the year unless the coaches think he is making a big difference on special teams or that he could contribute at safety, which would be tough considering the depth we have there. Speaking of which, what happened to Drew Surges? I don't think he has played at all this year. If he's injured, at least he still has his redshirt available.

I think we’re at a stage where Goodwin’s redshirt will depend on the injuries at linebacker.

Would he be much better off redshirting and adding fifteen more pounds? Sure. But when Klosterman went down, he was the next man up.

I think Imming was in there a little more, but still not sure he’s fully recovered. We need to get some of the dinged up LB’s back soon.

Also…we’re starting to get to a point where some of the freshmen are talented enough they’ll be off to the NFL before four or five years are up anyway.

Snyder hasn’t shown us jack s*** so far. He’s barely played.

And as the coaches and players have said themselves, on third and long, the pass rush isn’t the goal as often as fans think it is.

We keep bringing in big defensive ends and no speed guys. I don't think that Woleben (sp?) recruit was worth the scholarship. Hopefully Trey Verdon will be a good one. What happened to Samuel Same? I hoped he would get some reps this year.
