we won't have the strength of the Big 12 conference to fall back on this year. It won't hold as much weight. Need some quality non can wins for our resume.
There are 8 teams in Ken Pom top 50, like 12 or 13 in top 75.

If the Net came out today believe 7 Big 12 teams would be in top 50

Last year before the tourney in March there was 8.

Why do you think the conference won't hold much weight?

Wherever I go, there I am.
Obviously, it's all over. At the same time, that game most likely featured the two best teams in college basketball right now, so who could say, but of course, it's all over.
Might as well raze campus to the ground and salt the earth. Pull the Campanile down!!! Undermine the Union. Seed Lake Laverne with Tang powdered beverage.

He did seem to be forcing that turn around a couple times tonight. Maybe that's a reason?
Agree he hit one, but it looks bad on misses. 2nd half he did not seem to play that much, I think they need his shooting from deep more when they offense slows down, and 1st half he did good job of putting it on floor and getting short runner. His post up seems to be just the fading turn around which is a tough shot

Saw an early NBA draft article and they had Milan listed as a late 1st round pick. I get they are trying to project what they are going to be like in 3 to 5 years, but I just do not see it. The guy is still very streaky from distance. For ISU to win the league and go deep in the tournament we really need him to play like a 1st round pick and he is not nearly consistent as a scorer, averaging 10 per game is not enough, we need to be getting 15 to 18 from him every night.
Feel like he's going a bit of the Matt Thomas/Naz route. We know it's there. But it's not clicked consistently since Big 12 play started last season for him to be guaranteed automatic. Not sure if it's mental or the physicality. He's missing some open ones that seemed sure shots when he first started as a Fr.

Not worried, but if he get's rolling consistenly, we'll have a lot more stretches like the first half where Jones and then MM hit back to back threes and we'll be a really tough out.

I think it is obvious both him and Tamin have to be better if ISU going to reach their full potential. Milan needs to make few more jumpers and Tamin needs to figure out how to have a few more assists without a couple possessions where he drove into crowd and lost it or threw up bad shot

You don’t have to admit you’re stupid…give your self some credit. How about the times they did fade? Like Baylor on the road last year? Texas A&M? OSU? TTech? Numerous examples of this very thing over the past couple of years.…if you actually watch the games.
That comeback is about as creative as your take is wrong.

It's almost like in a 30+ game season in a sport with high variance, there will be a wide variety of outcomes. But you really like harping in the negative and forget the positive. Great look.

I do like that Nojus is getting minutes even if he is a little shakey. Prepare him for the future. I think he will be a four year stud at our program
Agree! And, in the short term, give a few minutes rest for whomever in the lineup when the Big12 grind starts.

Well, that was a gut punch. Not going dwell on it, because at least it shows that we belong playing with the big boys. Now back at the resort drowning my sorrows. Bar ceiling lights make it look like a bunch of a-holes are hovering over me. Or maybe they're Auburn fans.
Maybe "bleached" Hawkeyes. ;-) (Urban definition)

Wish Watson was in rotation with his size last night. I was hoping that he would make a sizable jump from soph to jr year
I'm surprised a bit too. I thought just from a defensive presence alone he'd be in the line up more. Maybe that says more about Jefferson, Jackson, Chatfield's abilities than Watson's.

ISU should be good but will have some limitations and it may be a bumpier season than what a few have in their minds.

I'm guessing by mid-December there's some passive extreme takes.
Kansas will be better than last year...or should be. Not sure about everyone else.

I'm not promoting violence, but if you could punch 1 person in the face:
a) Bruce Pearl
b) Fran McCaffrey
c) Brock Harding
d)Jordan Bohannon
e)Chad Baker-Mazara
