If it were up to ESPN, the SEC would have 8 teams in the playoff. Georgia is safely in.Why is Georgia still in if they lose next week and have 3 losses?
But if they lose that they have 3 losses and needed 8 OTs to beat a team outside of the mighty SEC. That should disqualify them based on espn talking heads downplaying the acc and big 12They were in the SEC champ game regardless
Think the head of committee has pretty much said they aren't going to penalize the loser of the Conference Championship games much. Don't want to reward the teams that didn't even qualify to play the title game. Why is Georgia still in if they lose next week and have 3 losses?
Well we know it should, but it won’tBut if they lose that they have 3 losses and needed 8 OTs to beat a team outside of the mighty SEC. That should disqualify them based on espn talking heads downplaying the acc and big 12
As it was, they only converted 1 of their 8 2 pt attempts...so chances are they wouldn't have converted that one either and would have lost there.should have gone for 2 after the first touchdown.
Cuz they better GeorgiaWhy is Georgia still in if they lose next week and have 3 losses?
This song? You aren't kidding.Just a reminder, Mo Bamba is a terrible song and stadiums that continue to play it are dumb
Producer to Tessitore's headset "hey Joe, remind the audience again that if Georgia scores here they are in the playoffs"Because the announcer spoke it into existence at least a dozen time in the OT.
Yeah, I just laughed after that one. Two horrible teams with horrible fans just embarrassing themselves on national TV with atrocious football…. it was awesome and hilarious! Two clown programs. Now they can get ready to get their asses kicked in their mayo quick lube bowl games.
Didn't know that was a song.Just a reminder, Mo Bamba is a terrible song and stadiums that continue to play it are dumb
If you’re 1) an underdog 2) on the road 3) who just gave up a double-digit lead 4) while fumbling twice in the final minutes to nearly give the game away and who then 5) won the toss in OT, was on offense last, and then scored to be down one point … I’d say the “metrics” (and common sense) would be strongly in favor of ending the game right there with a 2-point try. Worst case scenario is Tech loses (which is what they did anyway). As it was, they only converted 1 of their 8 2 pt attempts...so chances are they wouldn't have converted that one either and would have lost there.
No risk, no reward type thing I supposeIf you’re 1) an underdog 2) on the road 3) who just gave up a double-digit lead 4) while fumbling twice in the final minutes to nearly give the game away and who then 5) won the toss in OT, was on offense last, and then scored to be down one point … I’d say the “metrics” (and common sense) would be strongly in favor of ending the game right there with a 2-point try. Worst case scenario is Tech loses (which is what they did anyway).
Of course, if their “best” 2-point play was that WR screen that Georgia recognized from the formation and knew was coming before the snap, maybe not …
Why is everyone talking like ESPN is handling picking these teams for the playoffs?
The games are actually on.......checks notes........TBS?? I don't know what that has to do with Espn.
Targeting? Against Georgia? In a game-turning moment? You must be new here …I'm not sure if it was discussed but targeting should have been called on Georgia in regulation when GT went for it on 4th and 1 and the QB fumbled. Georgia guy cam in and lead with his head and blew up the GT QB.
