Eh. Arizona is just really bad. Not saying Skattebo is not great, but it’s flawed metrics
Yeah…I def agree with that. Saddens me as I used to live in Tucson and was a big Wildcat fan. That was back when Larry Smith coached football and Lute was the basketball coach.

We forgot about UCF because of Utah, but UCF fans were pretty sure they were going to dominate the Big 12 too.
The main Orlando Sentinel sportwriter Mike Bianchi wrote an article shortly after UCF was invited to the Big XII about how UCF helped save the Big XII. Something like that. It was a little tongue in cheek, as he is a sarcastic writer by nature, but he was playing to his audience. I wonder what he thinks now? Hope he enjoyed his trip to Ames (if he made it).

Going to root like crazy for Cincy. I’m being paranoid, but I do not like BYU’s chances if they know they’ve been eliminated from the conference championship. They’re going to be super deflated

Houston has played 2 games EVER in below freezing temps. Over 90% of their team is from the south. I'd guess most of these players have never played in temps this cold in their life and without anything to play for, I guess they will want to get on the bus as fast as possible.

1979 Cotton Bowl vs. Notre Dame is one. I wonder what the other one was?

It’s still senior day in Provo. That’s gotta count for something.

I just hope Iowa State wins tonight. If they win and lose the tie-breaker for the Big XII Championship, they might just slide into the Playoffs as an at-large seed if CHAOS continues. Either way, I'd be thrilled with 10-2 and Tied for First in the Regular Season. There is not a trophy or a shield for that, but it is something, really, really positive just like 2020. Then, go win the Alamo or Pop Tarts Bowl and finish 11-2. All hinges on Iowa State beating K-State tonight - which is all ISU can control. The other stuff will just work out or not work out.

If it’s Texas Tech/Pat Mahomes in Ames vibes, I’m good with that. It looked like the entire Red Raider team just wanted that clock to run faster so they could get out of the cold.

The duality of “BYU could be out of it so they won’t be motivated” and “KState is out of it, but they want to ruin our season”. All of these guys are elite competitors with a lot to prove for their college and professional prospects.

K-State has been out of it for a couple weeks though. Being eliminated like an hour before kickoff is way different. You just got kicked in the gut and are asked to go out and give it all you got. It will take a great coach (like Dan Campbell with the Lions type effort) to keep the guys motivated.

K-State wasn’t eliminated until today
