John RigginsSkattebo is going to be a very good pro RB. I don't know how fast he is, fast enough, but he is just so hard to bring down easily. His yards after contact will be big in the NFL also.

I doubt we even looked at him. I saw him play in person a couple times so I was hoping we would offer. Even though I'm an ISU fan, I gotta root for the New Mexico kids too.Who?
Did some digging. Was this even a guy the staff was on?
Our program is in great shape. Everyone is doing a very good job. I just want more .
By the gods, I hope not. Health comes first. Imho.Is the weight on this kid accurate???

I think you are thinking along the lines of a power runner, Riggins and maybe a Larry Csonka. They both were very physical at about 230-235 lbs., both were about 6-2 however. Scattebo is only 5-10, but 225 lbs.John Riggins
Other Scattebo comparables...I don’t disagree, he impressed me with his low COG and power.
A college comparable I thought of was Toby Gerhart and NFL comparables were Peyton Hillis and Jamal Lewis. Although I haven’t taken the time to compare physical measureables of the four.
I just know Skattebo impressed me with his power and low shoulder pad level.
Keep 'em comin'. Someone said Marshawn Lynch, yup. But he was only 5-11, 215 lbs. Scattebo is a heavy bowling ball.I don’t disagree, he impressed me with his low COG and power.

It’s now the staffs job to get them to the NFL. Iowa has taken guys like these (Jewell, Nieman, etc) and gotten them to the NFL. If we can do that, more doors obviously open.I feel like both him and Hawthorne are two of those in-state guys that Iowa usually lands who turn into studs on D. Nice to see the tides turning.
No, NU has him listed on the roster at 350Is the weight on this kid accurate???

Otz would definitely agree that this is the best we've ever been as an athletic department.I get where you're coming from.
My take is that while yes ASU went from last to first, it would be easy enough for any of these schools to take a big step back. Colorado for example... what are they going to be like without shadur and hunter? What coaches (Dillingham?) get an opportunity for an NFL job?
What Iowa State has is continuity. It's what Campbell and Pollard have identified as one way to sustainably improve. Keep your coaches, retain players. Build a reputation for being boringly successful.
It's sometimes annoying as a fan that were not taking big risks and shooting for the stars... but I'd argue this is the best we've ever been as an athletic department. You don't change the formula that got us here.

Anything on this? Visits or tweets about offers?Who are Kohl's suitors? Very curious to see where he lands.
I too am curious. I've been searching the web almost daily and in a world where the news cycles constantly and everyone is a journalist, it's surprising to me how absolutely silent it's been on the JJ Kohl front.Anything on this? Visits or tweets about offers?
