Arizona basketball hasn’t been good in awhile they just played in an incredibly down Pac12. Even with thier over seeding they still haven’t made it past the sweet 16 in a decade
I wouldn't necessarily say they haven't been good they just haven't been great and they certainly have underperformed in the tournament. They've still won the Pac12 2/3 years and got 2nd one of those years.

Agreed but still surprised to see it look like it does especially this year. Their coach doesn’t have much time.

Much time to do what? He just signed an extension this year through 2029.

The strength of the SEC actually helps us. Auburn and TN will play a lot more tough road games than we will, so if (big if) we take care of business and go-let's say 15-5 in conference-I think there is a legitimate chance we are ranked #1 in the country going into the tournament. I can't believe I am actually typing this but I think we have the horses to pull this off.

Much time to suck like this…he’s not doing a good job and if he doesn’t have a good year next year he’s probably getting bought out.

I don't have much knowledge on Arizona basketball but they've been pretty solid overall they just haven't done a lot in the tournament. 88-20 overall before this year, two Pac 12 titles, 2 top 10 finishes including #2, and two Sweet 16s.

And at least one top 10 win in the nonconference the last 3 years.

Yeah last year they won in Cameron Indoor against #2 Duke, beat Michigan State, Wisconsin and Alabama. Just flopped against Clemson.

It's not a matter of love or not. Every single metric, game result, and eye test says it's clearly SEC is best

It does.

However there's definitely a noted difference in how its been reported.

When it was clear for several years the big 12 was the best, there was all kinds of doubt being cast on it. Last year we heard endlessly that the big 12 was somehow 'gaming' the system. No one is asking that about the SEC despite several members having some super soft schedules that could create similar situations (no doubt the top end has notched some good wins as well, just as the big 12 did before).

The big 12 also isn't really 'down' either though. It actually rates slightly higher on torvik than it did at this point last year.

You think the big12 is viewed as "down" now? Wait until we win it - then everyone will let us know its the worst the conference has ever been lol.

Actually I have no issue with any of the quantitative rankings - they're quantitative based on results!

But the beauty of college basketball is you get to settle it on the court in March. Big12 choked badly last year, maybe SEC will do the same?
