Early on I'd say probably in terms of attractiveness


1. Jaguars - still have Lawrence, relatively weak division but fickle Owner and lack of stability
2. Bears- Williams showed promise but man, brutal division and lack of stability at HC
3. Jets - some young talent, but the salary cap and what Rodgers does is a big factor
4. Patriots - Maye looked OK, but there are a ton of needs and I'd imagine Vrabel will be announced relatively soon

Patriots job is the worst one available. Drake Maye looks promising, but the rest of the roster lacks any talent. Also, the owner is used to winning and Belichick's influence still present in the organization. (the Patriot Way).

they still have defensive talent and they'll have high picks. I don't think there are any Jamar Chase level players in this draft but there are probably a couple Brian Thomas level players and if they can get one of those they can turn around this roster in a hurry.

Pats have a lot of work to do but they will have over $100 million in cap space and a Top 5 pick. Not a bad thing to start with.

If they're going to fire them next year, they made the wrong move. If they're planning on drafting a qb and will give them a couple years to make it work, patience might pay off.

I think its the wrong move... and I wouldn't want to be a QB to the Giants.

Smarter move for the Giants would have been... clean house.
Trade back.

Try to "finally" get the OL to play better, address some other needs, take a Day 2 quarterback and see what happens

Jets job is super intriguing *IF* Rodgers leaves.

Because have Wilson, Hall, other young talent, and play in a division that has one team a long ways away, one good team and another whose QB sadly can never stay healthy. Like, you are literally competent coaching and league average QB play away from being a wild card team or slightly better

Chicago has a great young QB, a decent defense, offensive weapons, and a high draft pick. As crazy as this sounds this could be the best open job.

For all the crap Nagy gets, and deservedly, the man wasn't bad. Was he great? No. But he was not bad.

Also, the Bears problems are

1) Lack of stability at HC.
2) Ownership / leadership seems a CF at times
3) Easily the worst team in the NFC north and what's gonna change?

Half the Lions died this year, still won the #1 seed. They're not an old team. And so long as Campbell / Holmes are together, I don't see them falling apart.

Packers.. I don't like GB, but they're not going away.
And the Vikings don't appear to be either.


So yeah, the Bears have some good pieces, 100%. But that division and some of the other stuff.. man. Yes, if you believe in yourself etc, you take it. But that road is much harder than the Jags or even the Jets

My only counter to this is Green Bay finished the year at 11-6. This included only one win in the division.

The Art Institute will put helmets on the lions for an 11 win team.

A coach would get a couple of years to build the base and watch the window start to close on Minnesota and Detroit a little.

But I've been a fan since Payton. So I have no faith in the Bears getting it right. Zero point zero.

I'd put ownership as number 1 and 2, then HC stability.

Dealing with the Jets ownership is easy - if you’re a genius in Madden, just give that resume to the owner’s son and he’ll get you hired in a snap. Then run the Jets just like you run your team in Madden, and you can’t lose. Heck, Madden puts all the players’ ratings right there as numbers in black and white, just get the best ones!

And I'd have said the same thing about the Lions. Sometimes I still have to pinch myself. I knew I was excited when they hired Campbell and Holmes but never in a million years did I think they'd become this good.

I just thought - ok, wild card type team, hopefully, win a playoff game here or there etc... and somehow, it turned into a potential SB team. I still don't totally believe it.

Wonder if any teams take the Detroit route. Find a coach that seems to be solid and well liked, trade your best player off to get a younger accomplished QB. Then use one year to just eat the dead salary cap hits while you draft the future. Keep drafting and then go get solid,economical pieces (like Monte) to fill the holes.

NE's offseason seems simple, Hire Vrabel, sign Tee Higgins with all that cap space, draft o-line and defense and try to ride that 4th place schedule to a 7th seed.
