it would be. He is a head-scratcher for me. Rumors he was cutting a ton of weight, he was, but he was at the right weight (IMO). Sometimes a person can have all the talent in the world, but lack the mental toughness to succeed. In highschool you can get away with talent, you hit this level and it takes toughness too.

Lolwut. This CC weight thing has gotten weird. This isn’t some vague, undocumented situation. It’s simple.

Carroll is a natural HWT but was willing to cut a lot to get to 197 to help his team. Everyone knew this. His weights are well documented. He was around 260 just last year.

Yes, he cut down for some freestyle events but the weigh in rules are different and it was for a single tournament which is a far, far cry from doing it for a full college season. And even at that, he never competed as low as 197.

He hasn’t wrestled in the 190s for like 5-6 years, when he was literally a kid. 197 for the college season was never going to be easy, but he gave it a shot. Doesn’t look like it’s going to work out. Kudos to him for trying. Anyone who thought it was a super easy slam dunk is clueless.

Saying he is a natural heavyweight is just not correct either.

Lost to the #12 HWT, a multiple time NCAA qualifier, in a close match.

CC’s most recent match was a loss to a backup true freshman 184 pound room guy.

Which performance do you prefer?

Ok I guess it’s fine to keep bashing the wrestlers. Didn’t know that was acceptable.
That’s not what I’m talking about and I’m pretty sure you know it. Maybe shouldn’t have quoted your post there .

Two big ones that were registered that aren’t in the brackets are Ungar of Cornell and obviously MJ.

Frost vs Land could be very fun, but Land has a really tricky 2nd round opponent :)
