Big ten is a joke. They’ve got 7 decent and tourney worthy teams. Any above that right now I don’t see it.
the bubble is soft and pops towards the big 10. they will get there typical 4-5 teams that are seeded 8-11, just like every other year.

3 loses is my guess. At Illinois, probably a west coast loss as that’s a new experience, and split Michigan games but could also only see one for sure loss being at Illinois.

Easy conference champ, probably 2 seed but could get a 1 seed due to the name on the front of the jerseys instead of the record.
That's about what I'm thinking for the most likely losses. Perhaps a fourth could in unexpected road clunker, even the best Izzo teams have one of those on a somewhat frequent basis.

This team is a bit different in that regard as this is the deepest team he has had possibly ever. There are about 7 guys who could go off on any given night. Outside of Fears if someone gets into foul trouble it has zero effect on the team. Can play multiple different styles with ease.

If the wide open 3 point shots actually start dropping team is easily a natty contender but most games the squad shoots sub 20% even from knock down shooters. If the 3pts get made at even a decent rate we blow teams out.

I'm in if we can get enough fans to actually make a racket in the morgue. Couple of hundred ISU fans could dominate the crowd, wear ISU gear and chant ISU. That would be hilarious.
Group purchase tkts like Illinois did a few yrs back.

I have to question if Self really scouted him very well for how well he'd fit.
I wonder if the boosters gave him a choice? I hope ISU never gets to the point where boosters run the program, one good thing about not having a mega booster. Until Sark there were too many cooks in the kitchen building the Tx roster.IMO.

Houston won’t make it through the first half with enough players to field a full team if we get the ASU refs.

I want no piece of this Maryland team come March. They might lose to Indiana but they are a complete team and playing well.

They are fine, but what about them is scary? There is a reason they 5 losses, looking like 6 now.
They went in to Illinois and completely and physically dominated the metric giant that is Illinois.

And I think they are likely 5-6 seed territory which means possible they are a possible 3rd round matchup.

Indiana is #62/68/68 on Kenpom/Torvik/NET, I guess this is technically still a Q1 loss barely, but definitely a game you’ll want to have won if you’re Maryland.

Illinois are frauds in my humble opinion.

edit: oh sh*t they might win

I see more teams lately call time out at the end of the game needing a basket to win , and just have absolute fukery out of a timeout.

Are we getting to the point where you should just run with the game instead of call time out?
