I do wish Jamie would have more of a filter in his position so we don't have to have threads that last for 4 days. However, he is one of the best things to happen to ISU, and this is very well deserved. Hopefully part of this includes some succession planning as I doubt he works once this contract is up.

I think it is refreshing for him to have no filter. How many threads do we have about Campbell's or TJ's coach speak and wanting them to be more unfiltered.

The higher the position, the more filter is needed... usually.

Jamie would fit in well on the Red Green show.

But he's directly responsible for Iowa State not being a doormat of an athletic program. He's navigated his tenure here better than I'd imagine any of us would have.

Lol calls us slobs and gets an extension a few days later. Not that I'm against him being extended, just hilarious circumstance.
I don’t think he called “us” slobs. He said that people are slobs. He’s not wrong…although he probably shouldn’t have phrased it like that.

Meh, there's been enough time here that the context is no longer needed. We know what he said. I'm not upset to be clear, I just think its hilarious.

You ever clean up the FB stadium seating area and bathrooms after games? I did .. several times as volunteer to raise funds. Some people aren't just slobs, then there are fuc*ing slobs. And although they may be the minority, their sh*t creates horrible conditions.

I work in construction. I go into homes and bathrooms that you wouldn't believe from time to time. I know that there are disgusting people.i just don't limit my business potential with the good ones because of it.

Well there may be open beer sales after he leaves. Until then, come in buzzed/drunk/sh*t faced ... leave at half to refill.
First world problem.

You haven’t seen slobs until you go to a racetrack. People can’t wait in line with their kids so they have them crap under a flat bed trailer that was holding a TV camera on turn one. we aren’t just talking one or two people.

ASU not in good financial position. AD gets $51.7M from university. They spent $144M and without school support only brought in $92.3M. For comparison, ISU brought in $122.1M and spent $122.0M (athletics only-no school support). Jamie has done a fabulous job with the AD.

Not exactly sure.
Using the new schools is comparing us receiving 30MM or so with some teams only getting 7-8 in media rights.

The only drawback on Hardin is that he's never been around football. I see him a slam dunk for a Big East job.
