I feel the odds of us winning 1 or 3 games are about the same. I chose to put my confidence in this squad maxing out.

Truthfully feel Tamin’s injury is the larger concern at this point. KG had been battling and not looking how he started the year for most of conference play.

Tamin was really starting to come on the last handful of games.

You teens are spoiled and think this happens every year. The fact is us older guys have been waiting for this team for 25 years now and we got the draw we wanted also. Fred's teams never played enough defense to go that far and last year we got shafted being put in Uconns region.

If history is any indication it could be another quarter century before we see a team this good again and reality is alot of people won't be around by then.

I get around
It's possible that we could face "The Cheaters" (UNC) in our second game and I feel that playing them is a crap shoot. I could see them begin to play like a #1 seed just for us.

SDSU/UNC have to be thrilled.

UNC is likely going to go from last team in, to the Sweet 16 or Elite Eight

No Gilbert and a Lipsey that was 60% a week before. It’ll be surprising if we make the Sweet 16

Said S16, but it really has to do with Lipsey's ability to play. If he is still limited, I can see them leaving in the round of 32

This take might get dumped on but even with a healthy roster the weird turnovers/impatience on offsne and getting foggy on defense would still be things (along with just playing against better athletes) that could hold the group back so I'm not sure if I'd have a ton of confidence in winning more than two games.

It takes some luck anyway.

I do think they were starting to play with more urgency after Okie State and hopefully they come out and play about as well as they have all season Friday.

Can't recall an unluckier season as a whole. Give me another Sweet 16 and roll the dice.

At least we have a week to prepare with the roster we know vs lose a Niang last second type of deal.

The Niang injury would be the closest thing. We were going to run that region until he broke his toe. UConn was still going to be tough in NY, but if we had a Niang that could play I don’t think that would have even stopped us.

Yeah that was the more "unlucky moment" but as a whole on the season I can't think of anything worse than this year.

From the Arizona miracle to the Mom injury, Gilbert Injury, Tamin's been banged up all season, cyclinder BS against Houston, non goal tending against BYU, and probably some others I'm forgetting.....

As for things going in our favor, I would say Tech players who shoot 90+ percent on free throws missing down the stretch was the biggest.

However, get to the sweet 16/elite 8 and that's all we'll remember.

So what's all this talk on Facebook about Keshon's dad getting into it with TJ and essentially shutting him down because he thinks he's going to get drafted?
IMO you can lump this in with the people saying that he's leaving because there is bad blood and he's transferring somewhere else. Nobody has come up with a credible source yet.

Want a laugh? Look at the KCCI report on Gilbert. Check out those comments

Fred's 2014 probably would have made it had Niang not been hurt. And don't forget Chris Babb got hurt in 2013

We'll never know but iirc ISU would have been underdogs in any matchup even with Niang.

UConn still would have guarded ISU's backcourt tight which can affect everything.

Defense is key in most situations.
