And another piece of constructive criticism for CW and less-so Blum. I get being disappointed about the Keshon news, but the tone of the pod didn’t need to be that depressing. I think even CW said he was depressed.
I’m still a bit surprised on why everyone locally is surprised by the Keshon news. Keshon has been in and out for a month now. And Fran Fraschilla during the BYU broadcast literally said, “I’m not sure we’re going to see Keshon in an ISU uniform again” due to the injury. Numerous posters, who had no inside info, on here were saying, “anything we get from Keshon in the tourney is going to be gravy”. It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to know this was a possibility, and maybe even the likelihood.
For someone as plugged in as CW to act like this was a shock and really set a depressing tone for the pod, I’m pretty surprised by that honestly. Is our ceiling lower? Certainly. But most people, I think, understood that. We can still have a nice tourney run (if Tamin is healthy). The world isn’t ending. Come on man.
